Survivor Holidays: All Stars Episode V “The Doctor is In”
Saint Patrick’s Day: Christopher, JoJo
Independence Day: Missie
Halloween: Ashley, Drew, Isaac, Jake, Jon
Valentine’s Day: Beth, Elisabeth, Jenne, Kyle, Ryan, Taylor Ashley Miller didn’t know whether to be shocked that her choice of boot was not voted out, offended that she was asked such a question regarding her activity in the game, or worried that people were watching her. She glanced around at everyone as they gathered their torches and personal effects. Ashley had won immunity! Did that not account for some activity in the game? She started to scowl at those around her. Christopher walked by her, and she looked at him directly. Ashley: Well, I guess I’ll have to be more active sice I’m never here. He was caught off guard but when she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes, he knew what she was referring to. Christopher: I know! That question…poor you and Lis. You two should make an invisible girl alliance. Ashley: I’m always here. She was kidding wasn’t she? Christopher cocked his head and considered that perhaps she wasn’t. Christopher: I know, I was teasin’. She laughed but stopped quickly when Kyle approached them. She stepped aside to watch as Christopher frowned and looked at him. Kyle paused but when it was clear Ashley was content on watching, he shrugged and addressed Christopher. Kyle: Evening, Mr. Christopher. Christopher sighed and looked around quickly before turning his apathetic gaze back on Kyle. Christopher: Hello, Kyle. Kyle: Just want to make sure you are cool with me. Christopher smiled slightly. Christopher: I’m not sure that we’re cool. That is just my honesty speaking. Kyle: Well, what has made us not cool? Christopher: Tell me about you and Ryan. Kyle: I heard season oners were being targeted, so I sniffed around and found it within Ryan. I managed to get the target off of you and on to Lis, even though Rami was going anyway. Christopher: Well, I have to tell you, more than one person has told me that you specifically have targeted me. Which is fine…it’s a game. I’m not going to scream at you about it. Kyle: Well, I can promise you your name has never come out of my mouth, and I have been honest with you since you laid everything out for me that first time. Christopher: But…you can understand that it changes things up for me. I felt like we were pretty solid, and I hoped we’d both at least make jury. Kyle: Chris, I would go down fighting for you in this game. That’s why I snooped into the 90210 alliance. Christopher: Well, I appreciate hearing that. Everything is foggy right now. Kyle: Can you tell me who told you? Christopher: Ryan pinpointed you, for one. Said you two decided to vote me out. Told me to my face and then begged my forgiveness, saying he had been misled. Basically indicating you. So…it was pretty weird. Usually you hear things as a rumor. Kyle shook his head. If Ryan had told him such nonsense then he would have no defense. But he was positive Ryan wouldn’t have done any such thing. Kyle: I know I can’t defend myself other than by my word, but I never said your name to Ryan ever. I convinced them to vote for Lis. I really can’t say anything more than that’s the truth. All I can do is tell you I have no alliance with Ryan and I’ve been with you the whole time. I can’t beg you to believe me. Christopher: No, I agree with that. But rather than give you a fake smile—because I don’t play that way—I am just being honest and saying that I am still trying to figure stuff out. Kyle looked at him for a moment, slightly disgusted. Kyle: That’s fine. I won’t pressure or bug you. Christopher: There’s a whole side issue of you having some issues with people. Your previous season and stuff. I feel like I’m getting lumped in with some perceived group. That comes from people who’ve told me things you’ve said—just so you know. It doesn’t help matters when Ryan is being insane. Kyle: None of that would have even come out if Jenne hadn’t have thrown a fit about Tenzil going. But you are not lumped in with that group. Neither you nor Beth. Christopher: Anyway, like I said, I am not mad. It’s a game…. He smiled and thumped Kyle’s shoulder. Christopher: If you get me out—you rock. Kyle: Well, I’m not trying. Christopher: I don’t know how you know Ryan, but that kid pretty much squarely blamed you, to my face, for getting him to try and rally votes against me. Kyle: I voted against Ryan in Valentine’s Day for Tenzil’s sake. That’s how I know him. Christopher: I am just saying. He made some pretty intense claims. If he is your friend, he is not being very cool. Anyway, drama done for the night! I’ll not have drama. Kyle: Are we cool? Christopher: I need some breathing room. Without further word, he turned to go, leaving Kyle to stare after him. Ashley had watched the scene with quite a bit of interest He and Ashley had minimal contact on the beach aside from a few friendly conversations, but they seemed to be on the same page as far as grouping. She was coupled with Isaac Miller as Kyle was, so by default they were indirectly coupled. Kyle had no qualms sharing things with her as she came up to him and touched his arm. Ashley: Well, at least you got it off your chest. Kyle: It was hanging there heavy. Ashley: I know how you feel. Did she? That was an interesting statement to Kyle, and he slowed his pace. Kyle: So how are you enjoying the game so far? Seems people keep nagging you about your game as well. Ashley: I’m enjoying the game, but it doesn’t matter what these people ar saying because only a few of them actually knows me. The other ones I really don’t care what they think. Kyle: I’m getting to feel the same way. Ashley: That’s how you’re supposed to feel. You shouldn’t let it bother you. Kyle looked at her and smiled. He didn’t know where all this was coming from suddenly but he appreciated it. Kyle: Exactly. I’m bound and determined to not let it bother me from now on. Ashley: That’s good. They walked along in silence for a bit before Ashley looked up at him curiously. Ashley: How did all of it get started anyway? Kyle: I voted out Tenzil. I “asked” a few people to vote out Tenzil. Ashley smirked. Ashley: They should be over that. Kyle: I didn’t force anyone, but some that were in the minority vote…they got mad. Ashley nodded. Ashley: Yeah, you’re right. Kyle: I can’t help it. That’s the way the game is played. It’s time to move on. Ashley: Exactly. I didn’t like the question I was asked because I’m active more than most of the people who’s playing. But I’m sick of it and I really don’t wanna say anything. Kyle: I see you around all the time. Ashley: I try to talk to everyone but most of them don’t respond. Kyle nodded. He had heard all the rumblings about Ashley in the early parts of the game, had even taken part in them himself. But the last few days he had really taken to liking her. He patted her on the shoulder as they headed back to the aisle of huts. And there was Taylor waiting outside of Kyle’s hut. Kyle took a deep breath before he approached him. Taylor: I wasn’t talking about you at tribal council. He referred to his answer to the “victim” question that had been asked—quite a controversial question as it had turned out. Kyle shrugged. Kyle: Did you get all your jitters cleared up about me or do I get to look forward to getting jumped on every time I leave my hut? Taylor: Kyle, I jumped on you to warn you. I was trying to help, and you have been nothing but defensive with me. Kyle: What do you think you have to warn me about? That’s what I don’t get. Taylor: Oh…I don’t know! Ryan, Jenne, Chris… Kyle anticipated more, but Taylor didn’t expound. Kyle: What about Ryan, Jenne, and Chris? Taylor: Keep looking like you’re with Ryan, you won’t be around for long. People are fed up with his BS, and you’re getting lumped in. Kyle looked away in disbelief, almost humored. Kyle: That’s the thing…how does it look like I’m lumped with Ryan? I have hardly even talked to him. I’ve made it perfectly clear I don’t trust him. Taylor: You’ve got to make it more clear. You have to cut your ties. People are thinking that you and Ryan were out to target Chris last time. Kyle took a deep breath, took Taylor by the shoulders and looked directly at him. Kyle: Taylor, I don’t have to cut my ties to anyone. Taylor: I’m just saying— Kyle: THIS is the thing I’m getting away from. Taylor: You’re right. You don’t. Kyle: Chris needs to come to me if he thinks he’s being targeted. His name never came out of my mouth. More from yours than mine. Now he won’t talk to me anymore because he needs “breathing” room. Taylor: I just wish you wouldn’t be so defensive with me. Kyle: I wish you would quit treating me like I have to play the Survivor Central way. I’m about to cut my ties with you. Taylor flinched at that and stared at him for a moment. Taylor: Do what you want, Kyle. Kyle: Do you realize where I’m coming from? Taylor: I understand. I want you to do what you want. Kyle: You guys alienated me in Valentine’s Day, and now it is happening all over again. Taylor: No. Not this time. Kyle: I made a move that you initialized, and now I’m the bad guy for it. Taylor: I never initialized a move to vote off Chris. I was just talking— Kyle: I’m talking about Tenzil. I have never wanted Chris out, not even when you talked about it. Taylor: Ok, that’s fine. Thank you for helping me get rid of Tenzil. Kyle: And catching all the flack for it. Taylor: I’m stearing the flack off of you the best I can. I just wish you would stop acting like you have to prove something to me. Kyle: I don’t feel I have to prove anything to you, and I don’t understand where that is coming from. You or Jenne. What have I done to you guys? Taylor: You’ve done nothing. Yet you’re acting like you have. Kyle: Taylor, what am I supposed to think the way you’ve tackled me the last couple of days, freaking out on me? Taylor: You’ve been the one jumping down my throat. Kyle sighed and rubbed his forhead for a moment. Kyle: Taylor, do you remember yesterday? Taylor: I know, I was a little rude but I was under stress. Jenne was pressuring me to get rid of you the next time we voted, if you wanna know the truth. And I was telling her all the reasons why not. Kyle: And therein lies the problem. I haven’t done anything, yet I have. This is the reason for the whole thing. I vote out Tenzil, Jenne wants me out because she didn’t get her way and is acting like Jamie all over again. Taylor: I know, I know. Kyle: So…let’s let the drama fall on me, and accuse me of being defensive. Taylor: You have to understand the place I’m at— Kyle: Which is why I will never play a game with people I know and better yet with SCer’s. Taylor: I don’t know what to say. I mean, I’m not asking you to play like us, Kyle. Kyle shrugged. Kyle: Then vote me out. That’s what it amounts to. I’ll never break through the elite clique. Taylor: I don’t want to. Kyle: Well, then Jenne needs to know that she’s not going to run this game. She told me if I wanted to vote Tenzil, she would not oppose me. Now she wants me out? Don’t let this sound pompous, but I will not lie down like I did last time. Taylor: Then don’t. Listen I don’t wanna talk about this game… Kyle: That’s fine. I’ll see ya tomorrow at the challenge. Taylor: I’m glad to have some things cleared up. Kyle: Me, too. Thanks for at least giving me the time. With that, Kyle left Taylor standing there, considering everything. Like Beth, he was in a situation where he had people he cared about on all sides, and there was no way he could possibly choose sides. He turned and scanned the aisle where people were slowly returning from the council. When the Bitch Four returned, they convened in Christopher Collins’ hut to celebrate their latest booting victory. Rami was too easy a target and Kyle proved to all of them he didn’t have the strength they thought he boasted. Jenne and Christopher were ecstatic. Beth and JoJo were a bit more contemplative, but they played along nonetheless. Christopher took center stage and relayed to the hut full of giggling women his confrontation with Ryan. Word for word he played out the scene before them, and they doubled over in laughter. Christopher: I haven’t said another word to him. He sank down with laughter. Beth: Oh my gosh, Chris, you’re so terrific! He shrugged proudly. Christopher: Well, I woulda liked to bitch him out, but I figured I was vulnerable. JoJo: I love it! Christopher: Rather than get his vote, I let him wallow. Beth: They went full tilt after Lizzie. Voting out Lizzie is like taking out a Jenne ally. JoJo shook her head in disgust. JoJo: That is friggin’ unbelievable. I thought they were all pretending to be in an alliance with Jenne. Beth: Kyle got mad that I talked Missie into voting Rami and not Lizzie. Christopher: We should invite Lizzie and Jakey in. Christopher left briefly and came back with both of them, and they entered with smiles. Christopher: We heart you. Beth: Hey Lizzie girl! We definitely love on you. Elisabeth smiled sweetly and went to sit on the couch next to JoJo who hugged her. Jake went to stand in the corner with his hands in his pockets. Christopher: I’m gonna have to work on Missie. She seems pissed. Wants to vote Ryan out next. Beth: Ryan going next is fine with me! JoJo: You guys….Kyle was trippin’ tonight. Elisabeth rolled her eyes and sighed. Elisabeth: His rant was so long! JoJo: And you? Accused of being nonexistent? Geez, people! Christopher: Right on sweetie! Beth: Go Lizzie! They looked over to Jake who was standing there quietly, smiling, taking it all in. Christopher: Hey you! JoJo: Woohoo, Jakey! Jake: Yo! JoJo: Man, some crap during this tribal council brought Mama down! Kyle picked a fight with me saying he heard I’m one of the people buying these lies. Jake rolled his eyes. Jake: Oh gosh. Kyle is in a spiral of doom. Christopher: Agreed, Jake. The door opened and Taylor walked into the hut. Taylor: I agree, Jake! They greeted him as he walked in. Elisabeth and JoJo made room for him on the couch. Christopher: Kyle is going off the deep end. Taylor: Hello, my assumed alliance! Jake: I love those assumed alliances. Christopher: I can’t believe I didn’t get a single vote! Jake: It’s because you are awesome! Christopher: No, it’s because Ryan tried to talk to me beforehand, and I don’t think he got what he expected. Taylor: That is so Ryan. JoJo: Ryan is going off the deep end right now. Jake: I hate what Ryan said during tribal council. If you don’t lie, I hope you get voted out? What the heck? He’s getting sort of out of control. Beth giggled when she sat up and addressed them all. Beth: Isn’t it a rule that the R Twins must follow each other out? Jake: Oh, is it now? JoJo: I was just reading the rule book…page 16. Taylor leaned in as he joined the fun. Taylor: And right under that it says…oh, yep! In the case of an all-star game, Kyle is to follow! They erupted in laughter and Taylor beamed at his joke. Jake: I’m not disliking this rulebook. JoJo: Jakey, just please proofread before it goes to print. Jake: Can do! Forgive the sentence fragment! The hut was filled with laughter at that and a series of arm squeezes and high fives. This was the most fun any of them had had in the entire game. But as always Christopher was ready to get back to business again. Christopher: I think Ryan should go next myself. I can secure Missie’s vote for him. Others nodded. Christopher: There is no way she will vote for Kyle. Jake rolled his eyes and sighed. Jake: Mega agreeance. If we go for Kyle at final thirteen, we’d need seven votes. Could we get that? The others looked around briefly with questioning glances. The problem would lie in Missie. Everyone was sure she wouldn’t agree to such a plan. Jake: We could go for Ashley if not. I so do not want her to make jury. Beth: Ashley is fine with me.

Christopher: Ashley seems fair. I will feel her out. What about Jon?
Jake: I am not attached to Jon by any means.
Beth: I don’t want Jon on jury.
Christopher: He just has been slipping by all of a sudden.
JoJo: Jon is desperate enough for anything.
Taylor rolled his eyes at another glitch in a play against Jon.
Taylor: Jon is Kyle’s bitch. Kyle has told Jon that the reason he rallied to get rid of Tenzil was to save him, and Jon feels indebted to Kyle.
By that time, Jake had had enough. He waved to all before heading to the door.
Jake: Ok, guys, I gotta head out. Nice seeing y’all, and congrats!
With that he was gone, leaving behind a room still a flutter over the people they were ready to eliminate from the game.
Taylor: Kyle yelled at me earlier that he doesn’t want to play the Survivor Central way and that the problem is we are forcing him too and alienating him.
Beth sighed and sat back on the couch.
Beth: He told me that earlier…that the “SC” standards aren’t his, and we aren’t allowing him to play.
Christopher: Who is “we”? I haven’t told him to do crap!
Beth: Neither have I.
Christopher: Who are these phantom SC people? Absentee Lizzie? Voted out Tenzil?
Beth: This elite clique exists only in his mind!
Beth looked around her for approval and Jenne approached to agree and pat her hand on her shoulder. JoJo agreed audibly, and Taylor and Chris stood shaking their heads. Elisabeth sat quietly, listening to it all.
Christopher: Who is forcing him? Who specifically?
Jenne grinned from ear to ear and raised her hand, volunteering herself. Taylor: Jenne. You know who he sounds like? Mitch!
Beth shook her head.
Beth: He’s not that bad yet!
Taylor: Well you haven’t seen all of our conversations.
Beth: What I don’t get is him saying we’re not allowing him to play. I told him to play the d**n game any way he wants.
Christopher shrugged.
Christopher: He’ll probably quit.
Beth: One less person to vote out.
Taylor: Kyle says we alienated him in Valentine’s Day.
Christopher turned quickly and put his hands on his hips.
Christopher: I wasn’t in Valentine’s Day!
Beth: No one alienated him! Kyle is way too hung up on the whole Survivor Central thing which doesn’t even freakin’ exist anymore.
Taylor: He thinks he’s taking the hit for Tenzil and that I was the one who initialized it.
Christopher had to laugh at that and paced away.
Christopher: The funny thing is, and don’t you dare mention this…I campaigned Tenzil. I pimped him the first vote, and I swung Missie the second vote, as well as Jon. Kyle has no clue. I also swung three others, but I let Kyle think I was blindly following him. So he has no clue.
Taylor: Although I took the heat for you with Tenzil, you realize that.
Laughing, Christopher came back and ruffled Taylor’s hair.
Christopher: All you boys with taking the fall. I never tried to hide. I just went about getting him voted out, then Kyle said it was him, and now you two are going at it, and so is he and Jenne.
Jenne smirked, but Christopher grinned and shrugged. He loved it.
Christopher: Bunch of nutbags. I heart you, Tay. It’s just all so random.
The conversation went on until well into the night before they all dispersed still not understanding who this clique in the game was. What did it matter what anyone thought anyway? The game was most definitely going their way.
Others weren’t as confident. In fact, as Ryan headed back to his hut, the plans were to begin gathering his things, though he wasn’t just going to lay around for the next few days and die. Still it just didn’t look good for him.
He ambled through the aisle when he saw Kyle returning to his hut as well. Ryan approached him slowly.
Ryan: Sorry if your name gets dragged down with mine for any reason.
Kyle shook his head and shrugged.
Kyle: It has nothing to do with you. It’s all to do with the elite clique.
Ryan: I know. Heaven forbid that I should try to knock one of them out.
Kyle: I saw you trying to talk to Chris. What’s up with him?
Ryan: I went to him to apologize for suggesting his name because I wanted him to hear it from me first, and he got real mad and didn’t want to talk to me.
Kyle: Yeah, he told me he needed “breathing” room.
Ryan: It’s just disappointing that he did that when I approached him like a mature adult on the side.
Kyle: A lot of things are disappointing about a lot of these people.
Ryan: You could say that twice.
Kyle: Or three times.
Ryan: Even Lis who found out I was out to get her took it better, and she actually got votes.
Kyle: Can I ask why you told Chris that targeting him was a me and you thing?
Ryan blinked.
Ryan: I didn’t. I left all names out of it.
Kyle: It’s really not worth talking to everyone about anymore. Everyone has a different story.
Ryan: As usual.
Kyle: He told me you pinpointed me by name…to his face.
Ryan: I was very careful not to involve you. I didn’t even mention Jenne, and she’s the reason I was going after him.
Kyle: You and Jenne are working together right?
Ryan: Not so much working together as opposed to actually talking this time around. We haven’t voted together.
Kyle shook his head.
Kyle: Do no trust Jenne. Do not.
Ryan: I know. After the rumors she spread, I trust your word about it.
Kyle: Here it is…I don’t care about my position anymore. There’s no need for you to be the black sheep in both games because the group doesn’t agree with you. If I’m the enemy now, then I’ll give them the Hell they expect.
Ryan paused, taking it all in, looking at Kyle.
Ryan: Thanks, Kyle. I just don’t want to screw over two games for you.
Kyle: I don’t care. The game’s not worth it. Some people have way disappointed me.
He turned and looked out across the aisle of huts.
Kyle: I’ll never understand these people, and I will cease trying.
And that was the lay of the land. No one really understood anyone remaining on the island. The problem with the whole island was not that anyone was more right than the other; it was an all-star game. The island was stacked with hardcore, competitive players and no one was going to stop until they came out on top or were voted out. Perhaps the mole that had begun to sabatoge the island was simply that. The will for each and everyone to survive.
Day 13
Christopher Collins awakened to a beautiful morning with cloudless skies, and with the exit of Rami, he was feeling like he was in an excellent spot. The side of the game that was now deemed Ryan’s side had been cut to five solid, and he was sure he had Missie on his side, and Jenne had Drew on hers. Things were looking great. He dressed quickly and met one of his leading ladies early for breakfast. Jenne waited outside and accompanied him to the main resort where they were promptly seated for a meal.
Jenne: Last night went well. Kyle, Ryan, and Jon must be crapping their pants now.
She beamed at Christopher and he smiled in kind.
Christopher: And I love it! I want to make them sweat.
Jenne: I wanted to taunt Ryan all day yesterday but I had to sit on my hands. That woulda been classless.
Christopher: I kinda do too. Could make for a fun episode or two if we abuse him till he leaves.
Jenne: The victim question at tribal council was referring to me apparently. Ryan has said I play a good victim, and I guess Kyle agrees. But these two asses obviously don’t know me at all if they think that. I’m wicked. And Kyle told JoJo that question was for me. I hope he’s really proud of himself for getting Tenz out. He thought he had to do it for his own strategy but it really turned me against him and will more than likely cost him this game.
She sat back and smoothed her shirt, having made her point. Christopher smiled at her.
Christopher: Well, sweetie, don’t get mad when I say this to you…
Jenne: Oh, I know, you wanted him gone too.
Christopher: I got him out. Kyle didn’t even do it. I organized the first vote that almost got him, and I pulled the strings on the second one. Taylor knows. Missie knows. Kyle is delusional.
Jenne studied him for a moment. If that was truth than she had nothing to hold over him.
Jenne: Would you let me blame Kyle?
Christopher: Of course! Kyle hated Tenz and wanted him out.
Jenne: Thank you! Exactly! Jerk.
Christopher: Strategically, I wanted Tenz out so Kyle would think he had power, which embarrassingly for Kyle, worked.
Jenne laughed.
Christopher: I know, what an idiot.
Jenne: He went crazy in his response last night.
Chrisotpher: People started whispering to me like crazy calling him a retard.
Jenne: Poor guy. Game, set, match!
Christopher: It is sad, and he will go having been a pawn, an angry pawn who was jury-bound but effed his game.
Jenne: I don’t feel bad. I hurt still. He is seriously delusional.
Christopher: I wish we could boot him next, but Missie is in love with him. I guess she thinks he is straight.
Jenne sat up quickly.
Jenne: Kyle wanted Missie gone!
Christopher: Poor girl, I know! But she loves him. He is her number one. So we need to eliminate one more from that side—Ryan—then our seven can take him out with no risk of a tie regardless of what Missie wants.
Jenne: I was thinking about talking to Missie to tell her Kyle told me she wanted me out. Then told me he hated her and wanted her gone.
Christopher shook his head and held his hand up.
Christopher: No, let it be. Wait until one more is gone. We need to play it safe. Trust me, I understand. I wanted to go off on both Ryan and Kyle last night but we need one more to go first. Then we can be full on bitches, although everyone hates Ryan. We could torture him if we want for the next three days.
Meanwhile, JoJo had rounded up Beth Sowles for a walk along the beach with the concerns that had been plaguing her the past couple of days. What exactly was Jenne Lotz doing on that island as far as strategy? Every moment she plugged along blindly with Christopher, she became increasingly nervous.
JoJo: Do you think that Jenne made up stuff about Ryan to get rid of him? Is he in any way an innocent bystander?
Beth bit her lip thoughtfully. It was definitely an idea she had entertained
Beth: I don’t know.
JoJo: I mean, once she got Chris on Kyle and Ryan they were dead men. I’m just trying not to think of Tenzil and Mitch here.
Beth: She knows Chris will do anything to protect her.
That’s exactly what JoJo feared, and she looked over at Beth quickly.
JoJo: Please help me. I trust your instinct on this.
Beth: Mitch, she was totally right on. He did the same stuff to me. I love Jenne. I just don’t…necessarily believe everything. The thing with Ryan…he is smart and is a threat. So I have no problem with voting him out.
JoJo: Then I can handle it, too.
Beth: Kyle…I don’t know what to do about him. He’s said some things to me that I’m not so fond of.
JoJo: Sure, and me too.
Beth: I don’t know if it’s because he is so frustrated with Jenne.
JoJo: It’s just that both Kyle and Ryan last night said something about trusting Jenne and feeling lied to by her. Then Taylor tells me that there is this alliance rumor about me, Tay, Lis, Jake, and Chris, and it came from Ryan. I was hoping all roads don’t point to one of my favorite people in this game, and I swear to you I will not say a thing, but I might need to bounce things off you.
Beth sighed deeply.
Beth: In Valentine’s Day Jenne pulled us into all kinds of deals that I never knew about, and she got caught once or twice. I trust you completely, so I will bounce my fears off you, too. I didn’t think it was a good idea to tell Chris until we talked it out.
JoJo: No, I don’t think yet.
Beth: I think Kyle pegged her.
JoJo: Makes me sad.
Beth: Jenne wants to be the controller and was acting very spoiled about the Mikey vote.
JoJo nodded solemnly as they walked along. It made sense to her. She had seen Jenne’s behavior in the recent group meetings.
JoJo: I get it. She is good, and I adore her. I’m bummed, and she’s playing smart. And it’s disappointing, and and and…..
Beth laughed aloud and patted JoJo.
Beth: The thing that makes me not turn on Jenne is she is very loyal to all of us.
JoJo: I believe that, too.
Beth sighed and shook her head. They walked a little ways in silence. They were in a tight situation, caught in a web that their loyal allies were weaving. JoJo especially wondered to herself if she wanted to be involved in such deception.
Beth: I just don’t know what to do.
JoJo nodded her sentiments.
As the day marched on, Jenne Lotz was not the topic of conversation for only a few people. There were many juggling her name around in conversation. She was becoming quite the popular player, however infamous she was becoming.
Missie: I’m still worried a lttle about Jenne.
Isaac: Really? How come?
Missie looked around quickly, noting that no other Survivors were ambling around the pier. She could see Beth and JoJo walking in the distance, but no one could see them.
Missie: Apparently things are not going the way she really wanted them to. She was upset with the Tenzil vote. I guess they thought all the Valentine’s Day people would just stick together.
Isaac rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Isaac: I think she’s been changing her mind on that now. I’m not sure though. She could become a problem.
Missie: Let’s keep an eye on it, ok?
Isaac: Yes. What do you know about JoJo?
Missie followed his gaze to the distance where the two ladies were walking.
Missie: Not a lot, to be honest.
Isaac: She’s kinda in the shadows. No idea what she’s doing or how she gets her information.
Missie: I think she’d fall in with Taylor/Jenne maybe? I mean we are all together, but let’s face it…kinda separate.
Isaac: What about JoJo and Chris?
Missie: Chris has told me that he is keeping an eye on it all too.
Isaac: She could be doing stuff with Jake, even. That wouldn’t surprise me.
Missie: Between us, I’d love Jenne gone. Then we can have Taylor totally.
Isaac nodded slowly.
Isaac: I personally like Jenne, but it’s fine with me. If you and Kyle both want her gone.
It’s what needed to happen. Missie could see straight through Taylor’s and Jenne’s enemy ploy. They would have to deal with it sooner than later.
But on the other side of the island at the main resort, Jenne was perfectly satisfied with her game thus far. She was safe on all accounts no matter who was targeting her. She and Christopher had spent most of the morning browsing the entertainment.
Until Ryan Appel approached.
Jenne would have loved nothing more to see the face off between Christopher and his newfound archenemy, but he sent her away quickly. They had assured each other their fun could be had shortly. Sighing, Jenne walked away, but didn’t stray far.
Ryan: I hope you understand that I’m not out to get you, nor was it my intent to hurt you.
Christopher rolled his eyes. As if he could be hurt by the likes of such lower existence.
Christopher: I’m not hurt, Ryan. It’s just a game. Seriously, we’re all here, signed up for the game. If someone gets me out, congrats to them. I won’t hold any grudges.
Ryan: I just wanted you to hear my side of the story.
Christopher groaned within himself.
Christopher: It’s cool. I’ve enjoyed hanging out with you and stuff. I think you’re fun, you’re enjoyable to talk to, and you’re smart...
Ryan nodded.
Ryan: So past tense.
Christopher: And you’re also the biggest BS artist in the game, and everybody knows it.
Ryan: You can say whatever you believe.
Christopher: You don’t get it. Your allies sold you out. The story you tell isn’t what went down, and I respect it. You’re a gamer. You’re good.
He stopped and squeezed Ryan’s shoulder.
Christopher: But not good enough.
Christopher grinned at him, but Ryan merely wiggled his shoulder from his grasp and took a deep breath. Loosing it was not going to accomplish anything so he shook it off the best he could.
Ryan: Like I said, you can say whatever you believe.
Christopher: If you don’t win immunity, I’d suggest you pack your bags, ‘cause your game is pretty much over.
Ryan smirked.
Ryan: I’m not stupid, they’ve been packed since I entered this game.
Christopher: Well, I don’t know anything about that—
Ryan: Unfortunately that’s what all stars is all about.
Christopher: Like I said, I completely respect your game. I think you’re good and savvy. You’re d**n smart.
Ryan: Why, because I know who you’re working with?
Christopher frowned. Torturing Ryan was supposed to be easier.
Christopher: You blew it! You played too hard too early. It’s a classic mistake; every season someone does it.
Ryan smiled.
Ryan: It’s not my fault I see things others don’t, but hey…it’s a compliment to be viewed as a threat so early on.
Christopher: Thing is…nobody knows what I am doing. I’ve heard some interesting theories, but not a one has been spot on. As you have garnered from our own relationship…I don’t do the “A” word. I have worked with most everyone thus far. I owe nobody anything in this game. It’s the cleanest way to play.
Ryan: And you’ll use them until you don’t need them. That’s also a classic way to play the game—a way that usually gets people far, too.
Christopher paused a moment before continuing. The boy was tenacious, and if he wasn’t careful, going to win this current argument.
Christopher: I think maybe you haven’t seen a game with me in it before. I usually get very attached to some folks by the end, and I play for them, too. It’s too early, though.
Ryan found the loophole in Christopher’s fluff and jumped through it with full force.
Ryan: Then why do you care who I go after?
For the first time in the game, Christopher was almost at a loss as he stammered.
Christopher: I don’t know why you went spastic, ‘cause you’re charming. You didn’t have to. You could’ve gone a lot further on your charm.
Ryan: Because I would rather be known for actually playing the game than just silently getting by. That’s not playing.
Christopher ignored his statement.
Christopher: Like I said, I respect your game. I am not hurt or offended. If you think I’m not playing, then I assume I wouldn’t have been your target. You know better.
He paused and smiled amiabley.
Christopher: But I don’t need to convince you of that. You won’t be on the jury.

Ryan: So then why were you angry that I targeted Liz? I know you’re playing. I’m simply saying that I won’t just sit off to the side and watch.
Christopher: I’m not angry—
Ryan: But you were.
Christopher: You tried to get me off! That is where you lost me!
Ryan: Yes, and three votes hold so much in this game…I forgot!
Christopher: Dude, you are smart. Three votes or ten, you tried to start a movement against me. Why on earth would I want you here? Come on, don’t play dumb! You would want me out if I went after you, too. It’s the way the game works.
Ryan crossed his arms and smiled.
Ryan: So now that you’ve begun a campaign against me, I should strategically go after you—or people you’re aligned with.
Christopher: You already did go after me! How is this on me? I am just responding in kind!
By this point, Christopher was irate as he stared down at Ryan, his chest heaving.
Christopher: Difference is—I will be successful.
Ryan: Me going after you was a five second thing that you overreacted to. I was being honest with you. Stupid me, I suppose.
Christopher: Ryan, I think you’re a cool guy. You’re fun, I dig you. But we’re in a game and you threw down the gauntlet—not me. I am being honest with you, too. A lot of people wouldn’t be. The stupid thing wasn’t being honest…it was going after me without even talking to me. You didn’t even investigate before trying to get me out. How could I ever trust someone like that? I didn’t win season one by playing dumb.
Ryan: So, if you were in my position, and someone said that I was spreading rumors about you and going after you, what would your reaction have been? Would you have discussed the possibility of getting rid of me with your allies?
Christopher spread his hands wide.
Christopher: Well, look at me now. I would’ve confronted you. It’s what I do.
Ryan: I confronted you.
Christopher: But you didn’t tell the truth. Not the whole truth, and that in itself is problematic. Without even going into the fact that you and I were buddies, and you tossed my name out without even subtly feeling me out. You showed your cards, and as I said, you have every right to vote whoever you want out. If you get me out, I will shake your hand on the way out and root for you to win. But if you fail…watch out.
Ryan nodded and grinned back at him.
Ryan: I completely understand. I would just watch my back if I were you. There are some people who, unlike me, have the resources to do it.
Christopher flinched. He knew in his heart it wasn’t true, but just hearing it made him shutter. Who in the world would have the resources to get Chrstopher Collins out of a game?
Christopher: As I said…more power to them.
He had nothing left to say. He was getting too angy and any further discussion would prove counterproductive.
Christopher: You and I are done. Be well.
Without any further word, Christopher marched away, leaving Ryan to stand alone. Ryan could only smile. If he was assured to have his flame dowsed in just a few days, he might as well enjoy his exit.
But Christopher was none too pleased.
He stormed out toward the beach with a plan in his head. Ryan was going to be leaving the game unanimously if he had anything to do with it. It was time to start spreading rumors of his own if his overall charm and skill hadn’t worked the first time.
He saw the keys to the game out on the pier as he approached the bench. It was Missie Bird and Isaac Miller who had sworn over and again they were not aligned with one another; Christopher knew better. The whole island knew better. Nevertheless, they were needed.
They both quieted down when they saw Christopher approaching from the distance. As always he appeared calm, collected, and smooth. Friendly and charming is what emitted, but his mind was churning otherwise. Missie and Isaac exchanged glances. Nudging him away, Missie assured Isaac she would handle the conversation and provide him with the goods later, so Isaac hurried away. Christopher chuckled as Isaac left.
Christopher: Just so you know, I told Isaac already.
Missie cocked her head.
Missie: What?
Christopher smirked. It was time to play his game with Missie. He needed her against Ryan, and he would do it by all means possible.
Christopher: Ryan has been on me for days, trying to apologize…
Missie: Screw him.
He looked at her slowly.
Christopher: He blamed you.
Missie flinched and faced him squarely.
Missie: What?!
Christopher: I know it isn’t true.
Missie: I’ve not talked to the little jerk in days!
Christopher: Missie, I have no doubt. But since I told Isaac that Ryan lied to me, I didn’t want you to think if I didn’t mention it to you that I was believing it. I don’t. Screw him. I told him I am voting his ass out if he doesn’t win immunity.
Missie: He needs to go now.
Christopher: I’m sick of him treating the little kiddies like playthings. Isaac and Jake have double all of our IQ’s, and he can’t play them. I can’t even be bothered with him anymore. I told him we are done—basically don’t talk to me anymore, Ryan. I should tell you some of the things he just said to me…he told me to watch my back because unlike him there were people who had the resources of getting me out…
Christopher narrowed his eyes as he noted Missie was listening intently.
Christopher: Namely you and Kyle.
Missie shook her head. It was hardly believable that Ryan would even say such and figure he could get away with it. Missie and Ryan hadn’t even spoken in days. Still, Missie didn’t let it get the best of her. There was no way Ryan could back it. She just smiled up at Christopher.
Missie: Just smile and nod. Last ditch effort and all.
Christopher: Man, I had no idea people would be going nuts in this game so early.
Missie: Dude, you just stick with me and watch my back. I’ve got yours, hun.
Christopher: You know I will.
Missie held her peace before Christopher but she wasted no time in staking Ryan out when he returned to the aisle. She didn’t even bother to address him or allow him the footing to brace himself.
Missie: So…it’s my fault you were gonna vote Chris?
Ryan jerked his head around.
Ryan: What? Who said that? You and I rarely even talk.
Missie: I know, I’ve not even spoken to you in this game.
Ryan shook his head incredulously.
Ryan: Whatever…if that’s how they need to do it to get rid of me, all the power to them.
Missie: I just wanted to straighten that out with you because I barely have talked with you, and if I were to vote you, it would have nothing to do with whatever Chris and you have going on. Just so you know.
Ryan: I just hope that you see the fact that he needs to lie to you so that you’ll vote with him either means you’re playing me for a laugh, or that he doesn’t trust you enough to just vote along with them. By the way, you’re not the first person I’ve heard that from so I’m sorry if I’m short with you.
Missie crossed her arms and considered. There was no way to know exactly what was going on around them. But having talked more with Christopher led her to believe he was the one in the right.
Missie: Maybe it’s the trust thing since I’m not anyone’s pawn. Other people have been accused of telling you to target Chris?
Ryan: Yeah, I’ve had three, including you, already!
Missie: No crap?
Missie looked down thoughtfully. This needed to be sorted out. Either Ryan was a plain idiot or there was something going on behind the scenes.
Missie: Ok, serious question…did someone mention anything to you about voting for Chris, or did you pinpoint him on your own?
Ryan: I see him as a threat. I would be stupid not to. Someone said that he had been spreading rumors about me, and that’s when I suggested throwing the vote towards him. At least I was justified in seeing him as a threat with a lot of control. But, oh well. I’ll try to be the adult in this situation.
Missie: Wow.
Ryan: I appreciate that you took the chance to ask me.
Missie: Of course. I’m not a horrible person, and I’m not stupid either. Not totally at least.
Ryan: Well good luck with the rest of your game.
Ryan turned to go, but Missie did not stop him. She merely watched him slump away. How was she to know the truth? Was he really that desperate to spin such awful things?
Missie looked at her watch quickly. It was fifteen minutes until noon, which would mean it was time to gather at the beach for treemail reading. But she had to figure out what was going on.
Christopher had joined back with Jenne, one of his number one ladies, and run down the events of the morning for her. Of course, she loved every minute of it. Missie was going to be firmly on their side, just like everyone else they were capable of wooing. Jenne was perhaps the most proud of her job on Drew Herlitz.
Jenne: Drew is feeling snuggly with us women folk. He’ll vote with us, and it seems Missie will gladly vote off a teeny bopper.
Christopher: Well, she is hard to read.
Jenne: Missie has to see that Kyle, Rami, Ryan, and Jon were a thing.
Christopher: I know she don’t like Ryan, but she really is behind Kyle. We can’t afford to have her run to him on this.
Jenne: I wouldn’t put it past Kyle to win immunity after immunity.
Christopher: He will leave just as soon as he doesn’t.
Jenne: Five tribal council’s left before jury: Kyle, Ryan, Jon, Isaac, Ashley.
Christopher nodded. It sounded about right to him.
Christopher: If anything awful happens and one immunities their way onto jury, we cut an expendable, which so far has been Taylor, Missie, Drew. Although I’m feeling like we owe Taylor.
Jenne scowled.
Jenne: I feel like I owe Drew. At least jury.
They grew quiet for a moment as they made their way to the beach. Jenne looked up at Christopher thoughfully.
Jenne: You were right, you know? You said with booting Tenz it would keep the player Jenne here and not the emotional Jenne. Booting Tenz has turned me into a wicked li’l beast of a player. But on to others…Lizze…that girl is clueless you know? She’s not really playing this game. Not that I care…I’d way rather stoned Lizzie than cracked out Lizzie. What I find surprising is, though you and I have both been targeted, it isn’t because we are real world friends.
Christopher: I agree. Nobody has said a word about it.
Jenne: No need to rub it in anyone’s faces. Like Taylor did…
Jenne frowned as she thought back to the Family Fued challenge where Taylor had called them out.
Jenne: The Santa Cruz face-off!
Christopher: He is such a dork sometimes. The reason he never wins these games is because he rarely thinks before he speaks.
Jenne: I still don’t think he realizes that Beth and I dragged him to final four in Valentine’s Day. He thinks we dragged Mikey there, and Mikey thinks we dragged Taylor there. Neither has acknowledged that we dragged both their asses there!
Christopher laughed.
Jenne: Taylor was always, ‘Yeah, I got us Kyle..’ I was thinking, Beth and I had everyone! We didn’t even need Kyle. But you just pet his head, tell him he did good, and he’s a happy li’l camper. I really wish he hadn’t chosen to lie to me for so long ‘cause I adore him. He’s breaking me down slowly.
Christopher looked over at her quickly.
Christopher: No breaking you down!
Jenne: Well I’m still pissed off, but my resolve has softened.
He eyed her thoughtfully. Taylor just might become as liable as Tenzil with Jenne’s eratic emotions.
Christopher: Hmmm…
Jenne: What does that mean?
Christopher shrugged and pressed on with another topic.
Christopher: Who do you think the fourth Lizzie vote was?
Jenne: Kyle.
Christopher: Really?
Jenne: You don’t think so? I sorta figured they had an alliance of those four, so if there were four votes, it would be them.
Christopher: I just don’t know. Interesting.
Jenne looked at him oddly.
Jenne: I don’t understand your reaction. Why wouldn’t you assume it was Kyle? It had to be Kyle. I think they were showing their alliance very clearly with that vote. Doesn’t look good for any of them.
He eyed her out of the corner of his eyes.
Christopher: Interesting.
Jenne: Why is all this so interesting?
Christopher merely shrugged, and before he could say anything they reached the beach where others had already gathered for the treemail reading. Karen was prompt and in her place, holding a piece of leathery parchment as she waited for the entire cast of fourteen to arrive.
Karen: Numbers, numbers, what do they mean? Figure it out to win immunity and stay on the scene.
She looked around proudly at all the curious faces.
Karen: Challenge to be held in the lobby of the main resort promptly at seven o’clock this evening.
Just as quickly as everyone had formed a semi-circle around Karen, she left them to their discussion. Mouths flew open as they turned to one another to guess at what the challenge would be. As Jenne turned to Beth, Beth scowled. Numbers were nothing she enjoyed.
Christophe Collins watched everyone as they chattered on. Missie was to his right, joining in on the discussion with JoJo, Jenne, and Beth, consequently the older women of the game. He had to smile because he loved his women, and Missie was quickly growing on him.j
He then looked to his right where Taylor, Elisabeth, Jake, and Kyle had clumped up into a conversation. At the moment, Christopher could give or take Kyle and Taylor, but Elisabeth Marie and Jake Erickson made him smile.
Then he and Kyle made eye contact. It was the first time since right after the previous tribal council that they had made any kind of contact. He frowned as Kyle put his attention back to his own chat.
Shaking his head, he turned away quickly so as not to get worked up here and now in front of everyone. He saw Jon, Isaac, and Ryan discussing. Ashley had approached Drew, then Jenne had joined both of them. Christopher watched them for a moment, proud of Jenne’s work on both Drew and Ashley. He couldn’t love that girl more.
And where he saw Jenne, Beth was not far away. Christopher loved Beth, but she had been most stubborn this time around.
When the cast began dispersing, Kyle hung tightly for a moment until Jake finished his conversation with Elisabeth, then pulled him aside. Inside Jake was groaning. Kyle always seemed to have something to say and he always approached Jake in the same way.
Kyle: I gotta question for ya.
Jake made himself smile pleasantly.
Jake: You are a questioning kinda guy.
Kyle wrinkled his brow.
Kyle: That bad?
Jake: You always start out your questions with, can I ask you a question? Or, I have a question! So, it’s easy to keep track.
Kyle: Well, I’ve just been wondering if you’re part of the group that thinks I’m an overscheming, overplotting all star jerk.
Jake shrugged noncommittally.
Jake: I wasn’t aware there was such a group.
Kyle: That was the reason for all the pushy questions I’ve been getting at tribal council, and I also have heard that you were thinking I was pushy, and that bothered me. I’m in no way against you.
Jake: I’m not against you at all. Who is saying this stuff? I won’t deny that you’re more straightforward than most.
Kyle: Well, the very people that ran Valentine’s Day are mad at me because of the Tenzil boot…because I’m breaking “them” up.
Jake: I understand that. It’s not logical, but I understand that.
Kyle: Jenne is the one who made such a commotion about the Tenzil vote, and that is where all this comes from.
Jake: Ok, but how is Taylor, Jenne, or Beth any stronger than any other three people who may or may not decide to join up? I understand wanting to break them apart, but…
He paused thoughtfully. What was the point in getting into this discussion with Kyle?
Kyle: Well for one…when Jenne is targeting me…
Jake: Ah. That is a good reason.
Kyle: Yeah. I know we’ve danced around working together, and have never pinned anything down.
Jake: Actually, I recall this time where you said, ‘I don’t know how to put this,’ and I said, ‘you’re asking me for an alliance,’ and I said yes. Remember that?
Kyle: Yeah, but we never talk. But anyways, when you hear rumors of me overscheming and it comes from the likes of Jenne, Lis, Tyalor…that’s what this is all about.
Jake shrugged again.
Jake: Well, I agree with you. I don’t entirely trust them, but I mean, it’s more than just them that I hear things from. You’re making other people mad.
Kyle: What people am I making mad?
Jake: I don’t know, It’s just a general feeling, and I have heard people calling you pushy…
Kyle: Which is what I just told you.
Jake: You did push the Tenzil vote hard.
Kyle eyed Jake for a moment. The trust factor just went away, and if Kyle didn’t know any better he’d think this very conversation was rehearsed. He shook his head slowly.
Kyle: No I didn’t. I went to the people I knew had voted before and asked if they’d do it again. I didn’t push you.
Jake looked down.

Jake: I know, but you single-handedly more or less organized the vote, and that threatens other people…I guess. People who want to believe they’re in control.
Kyle nodded. Exactly.
Kyle: All I’m saying is ten people didn’t have to vote for him. I’m being dead serious when I say that I’d throw my game to see people like you make it further than a band of pre-built trust.
Jake: Are you implying that you aren’t talking to anyone from Valentine’s Day?
Kyle: No, not at all. But I am implying that most of them are pretty pissed at me.
Jake: Everyone has a pre-built trust. It’s an all-star game, right?
Kyle smiled. The conversation was not going the way he had hoped…in the least. This was confirmation that Jake was working for “them.”
Kyle: You don’t know the half of it. Trust me. I hope I haven’t ruined anything by coming clean with you, but have a good evening anyway.
Jake: Thanks for being honest.
Jake turned and walked away, leaving Kyle to stare after him. It was most upsetting to Kyle for Jake to have bought into the labels. If only he knew what he was stepping into. Kyle shook his head.
Missie: Hey Mr. Man!
Kyle was startled out of his thoughts when Missie clapped him on the back and bellowed in his ear.
Missie: You pushy bastard you, what’s up?
Kyle laughed at that.
Kyle: I love it! He looked back quickly to where Jake disappeared into his hut.
Kyle: Do you know where Jake stands in all this?
Missie: I do not. I thought Isaac told me that Ryan and Jake asked him for an alliance.
Kyle: Jake is with Ryan?
Missie: I will ask Isaac to be sure, but I’m pretty sure he said that. Would you be cool with Ryan this time or not?
Kyle: As in working with him?
Missie shook her head quickly.
Missie: Um, no. As a boot option.
Kyle: Oh, as in voting out…
He looked at her for a moment as he nodded.
Kyle: Have you noticed a trend going on in this game?
Missie: What do you mean?
Kyle: I hesitate to say because we still have quite a few numbers over them, but what happens when we get to number- crunching of people who won’t budge for each other?
Missie: Well, in my head, and I will probably make myself very vulnerable by telling you this…I’d cut loose Taylor and Jenne sooner before we got to that place. I am dedicated to you. To Chris and Isaac and Beth, I guess, too. I don’t know but I trust you and I’ll stick to a plan.
Kyle: Missie you are on my exact train of thought. I’m making myself way vulnerable telling you that I’ve already got lots of heat.
Missie: And I don’t get why either.
Kyle leaned in closely.
Kyle: I’ll tell you why, and please don’t tell Christopher. Jenne is throwing a fit because this game is not going her way like Valentine’s Day did.
Missie sighed and swept the beach with her eyes.
Missie: See, she and Taylor worry me big time, and she has told me she has a little crush on you. That worried me, but I can tell you aren’t letting her use you.
Kyle spat with laughter.
Kyle: Flirtation has no affect on me.
Missie: Good man!
Kyle: I do love her as a person and friend. I just don’t want a group of friends to run this game. There are other worthy opponents in this game who are working alone.
Missie: That was my big worry…that I’d be screwed because of all the Valentine’s Day people.
Kyle: Well, I’m here to tell you that I’m trying to prevent that, which leads us back to square one…why I caught so much heat for voting out Tenzil. Make sense?
Missie nodded slowly, the light coming on in her mind.
Missie: Yes. She was pissy because the plan was to keep it all as ‘you all?’
Kyle: Something like that. There were a lot of assumptions coming into this game. Many involving me.
Missie: So now, with Jamie and Tenz gone, it’s not going how she wanted? Where does Taylor sit in all this?
Kyle: Taylor will go where he feels safest, I promise you that. He doesn’t have a vindictive bone in his body, and he does like you.
Missie: I like him, too. I’m just worried about him and Jenne.
Kyle: She needs to be gone to control Taylor. She has a hold on him.
Missie: She tried giving me that line that they hated each other but made a pact not to target one another.
She rolled her eyes as they both watched Jenne mingling in the distance.
Missie: You know…Jenne is a name that could pacify both sides.
Kyle looked at her quickly.
Kyle: I wasn’t sure if it was. I don’t want this to turn into a Kyle/Jenne war like it looks like it is.
Missie: Well, I know that Isaac and Chris both were comfy with Ryan this time around as was Beth. But…I worry where Chris is in all this now.
They watched Christopher wrap Jenne up into an embrace as they neared the huts.
Kyle: I’m not sure either. I know he was pissed at Ryan for targeting him.
Missie: Very pissed.
Kyle: I think he is open to not stick with “old friends”, but I just don’t know…
A silence fell over them before they looked at each other, both with the understanding that they might could just turn the tables to their advantage. It was quite possible. But neither was comfortable enough in suggesting such a move to one another. Kyle was desperately wanting to save Ryan from the job the others were doing on him, but Missie seemed set in releasing him for the following tribal council. Kyle knew he would have to bide his time.
They stood there, watching, studying, thinking, scrutinizing. Something was going to have to change soon.
At the aisle of huts, Jenne turned away from Christopher and noticed Kyle and Missie in the distance, and she wanted to spit. How Kyle could sway anyone, she would never know, but it was never going to work. She nudged Beth on the arm, and they turned to look.
Jenne: Kyle has been talkin’ so much smack about me to anyone who will listen. Meanwhile he talks to me like we are best friends, saying ‘Hello, love.’ What a two-faced, lying creep.
Conflict came over Beth’s face as she considered the situation.
Beth: He’s told me before that he wants the game over so he can be friends with you again.
Jenne paused as she looked at Beth. It was shocking, yet refreshing to hear.
Jenne: Awww, really? He said that? I wish it were that easy. I feel so hurt with all this. I don’t think I want to even talk to him until this game is over.
Beth: Honestly, I sorta get where he’s coming from. We are a strong force, and he doesn’t know how to work around it or through it or with it, and he hates to be outplayed. But I don’t like the way he is striking out at people.
Jenne shook her head vigorously.
Jenne: Everything that he is saying about others is a direct reflection of who he is in this game.
Beth: My feeling is he is so frustrated that he is striking out.
Jenne smirked.
Jenne: Like a caged animal.
At seven o’clock the remaining fourteen gathered in the lobby of the main resort for administration of the fifth immunity challenge. Nerves were thin, anxiety was high, but all gathered, fired up to nab immunity for themselves. The main goal on many people’s minds was to keep Ryan Appel away from a win.
Karen: I have in my hand a stack of quizzes. On this quiz you will find sixty numerical shortcuts.
Many began to mumble upon hearing the word quiz. Beth Sowles cursed under her breath when she heard quiz and number in the same sentence.
Karen: Your job is to figure out what the letters stand for. For example, if I were to say 52 = W in Y, the answer would be Weeks in a Year because there are fifty-two weeks in a year. To answer this quiz, simply fill it out on the sheet of paper given to you. Do your best to figure these out, and try to think outside the box. Some of these are very tricky. Immunity is at stake! This challenge will be due tomorrow at seven o’clock, and is judged by points. However, if there are ties in the point system, wins will be awarded according to time. So get those quizzes in.
She smiled briefly and passed out quizzes to those around.
Karen: Survivors ready? Go!
Furiously they slammed themselves down at tables to work on the quizzes, figuring the puzzles. Some worked alone, but others worked in pairs and some in groups. Kyle sat off to himself as he hammered out answers to his, and he was watched by many.
Christopher leaned over to whisper into Beth’s ear.
Christopher: Kyle told me he basically trusts you, me, and Taylor. What I find interesting…
He nodded toward Kyle, and Beth followed his gaze.
Christopher: He sure isn’t sharing those immunity answers with us. My point being…as soon as I figure them out, I’m giving them to you and Jake because I trust you.
Beth nodded quietly.
Christopher: Not tooting my own own horn…just pointing out the disparity. Doesn’t one usually help their friends?
Again, Beth nodded silently but said little.
Missie Bird was the first to answer all of her questions and hand in her quiz. She went immediately over to Kyle and Isaac, helping them with what remained. She then ventured over to Christopher and shared with him. By that time, quizzes were being turned in one right after the other. Others such as Drew and Elisabeth, Jon and Ryan scribbled away furiously on their own.
As many began to head out of the lobby having finished their challenge, Beth lingered for a moment, making her way discretely to Ryan. Ryan looked up curiously, but Beth wasted no time in giving him his remaining answers.
Beth: Shhhh. Don’t tell no one!
He couldn’t if he had tried. Why was Beth Sowles helping him, of all people? He merely gaped at her, trying to word some sort of gratitude through the shock.
Ryan: I won’t…thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
Just as quickly as she had come to him, she left the lobby, and Ryan stared after her oddly. Whatever had happened, he didn’t care now. He leapt up to turn his quiz in knowing that several were still working. Maybe his would be in right at the nick of time. He breathed a sigh of relief when his quiz was formally out of his hand, but he wasn’t safe yet. This was his only chance. Without the immunity necklace around his neck, he was sure he would be going home. Just like in Valentine’s Day, the whole tribe was against him, and all he had done was figure out the alliances.
Kyle saw Beth returning from the resort later than all the rest, and he wondered. She had finished hers quite early. He watched her for a moment, feeling a pang of guilt over how he had thrown her into a middle-man situation. He had harped so much on the Survivor Central connections that he knew it was getting old, and most likely irritating to a lot of people.
Kyle: I want to apologize for stuffs.
She looked at him questioningly.
Beth: For stuffs? What stuffs?
Kyle: The whole death to SCer’s thing. You know I don’t mean all of them. Just Jenne.
Beth nodded. She did understand—all things considered.
Beth: And even her you still like. Just not in the game?
Kyle: Of course I do. I love Jenne. But she is a spoiled brat when it comes to her way.
Beth giggled.
Beth: I thought I got to be the only spoiled brat.
They laughed together for a moment, and it felt good to not argue about something for a change. The game had simply been too intense for reason.
Kyle: I’m just bummed that Chris thinks I’m against him now.
Beth: It sorta felt rotten to be lumped into “Evil S-C”
Kyle: I realize how that must’ve hurt you guys. It’s the only way I can spin Jenne’s reaction to Tenzil and the way she’s treated me.
Beth: You’ve told other people that?
Kyle: Just what I’ve been ranting to you and Taylor about.
Beth frowned. It was enough to have clear targets posted on her back if Kyle was telling others what he had been ranting to her about. She could only imagine the earful Taylor had received. But she did understand.
Beth looked around quickly and leaned in to Kyle as she lowered her voice.
Beth: I’ll tell you a secret, though. I sorta helped Ryan on the challenge.
Kyle flinched.
Kyle: So he could be immune?
Beth: If my group knew that…I’d be deadmeat.
Kyle nodded. The stark reality of what she had done was a joyous thing. Would she possibly be willing to step out and make a change?
Kyle: This game is such a headache. We need to pull together with JoJo and start figuring stuff out.
Beth was torn. She knew what was going on around her. Yet she was surrounded by friends. She merely looked at Kyle but offered no commitment.
Meanwhile Christopher was still annoyed and a bit concerned by how Kyle had so backed off from strategy or even talking for that matter. Even though Christopher had told Kyle he needed space, the silence was disconcerting. Christopher let Jenne in his hut and shut the door tightly.
Christopher: Has Kyle bugged you?
Jenne: Not a word. Beth told me earlier that he said he just wanted this game to be over so we could be friends again.
Jenne smirked and jabbed a finger to her mouth to simulate gagging herself.
Christopher: He isn’t bugging me anymore. I don’t know if I should tell him we are cool and then vote him our or just keep things as they are and vote him out.
Jenne: He’s gonna cause such a mess. As big a mess as he can, but I don’t think it could do any good at this point. He tried to sell the sob story about how the underdogs are playing their hearts out and the “friendship” and Lizzie are just gonna take it all, blah blah blah! ‘Cause you know he cares about the li’l guys so much in this game. Please!
Christopher: The “friendship”? Did he call me the friendship? And Lizzie? Like she’s some sort of dog?
Jenne: Cute li’l furball.
Christopher: I so blew it by saying, ‘poor Lizzie’ at the end of tribal council. That is why they know I love her.
Jenne rolled her eyes.
Jenne: We will win this game because we have friends, no matter what. Had nothing to do with outplaying anyone—we just knew the right people.
Christopher looked at her for a moment. She seemed proud in that cushion.
Christopher: I disagree. I made friends with people I didn’t kow—including Kyle.
Looking up quickly, Jenne stammered.
Jenne: I’m just saying…that’s what everyone will always think. That’s how it was with Valentine’s Day.
Christopher: That is the nature of an all star game. Good players will have forged relationships. Eff ‘em. We haven’t all voted together on more than one vote.
Jenne looked at him oddly.
Jenne: Um…Shaun, Lisa, Angie, Jamie, Rami…
Christopher : No, i didn’t vote for Lisa.
Jenne: So we have voted together all but two. Anyways, Beth and I have voted the same every time, and you and JoJo have voted the same every time.
Christopher: Exactly…which is good.
Jenne thought so as well. Their closely knit group of four could slide all the way through without even appearing as though they were a cohesive unit. Just like Valentine’s Day, Jenne knew she was destined for the end of the game.
And the day came to a close. Ironically enough, strategy came to a hold as the challenge results were pending. Placing Ryan up on the block all depended on whether or not he had the necklace.
Jenne snuggled into her bed with a grin on her face. She had all the people under control, and she was proud of it. No one was going to get her. Not when she had Christopher and Beth and JoJo. Beyond that she had Taylor and Elisabeth and Jake and Drew loving her. She was in a good position. Just the people that adored her made up half the cast.
Smiling, she stared up into the dark ceiling, feeling she had made a fair phsychological representation of all remaining the game. She was that good. Her mind wondered until she drifted off to sleep.

Day 14
The day passed slowly. There was nothing much to do but socialize, mingle, and enjoy the entertainment around the island. Without the challenge results, there was nothing they could decide beyond keeping their focuses on Ryan Appel.
Kyle awakened that morning with hopes of turning the tables and defending Ryan from the same fate as before. But while doing this, he needed to regain Christopher’s trust once again. He had racked his brain the entire night, and the only thing he could come up with was to convince Christopher that the targets from a few days ago had come from Ryan alone. Pulling out a paper and pen, he began to write a letter, addressing it to Christopher. Since Christopher needed so much room to breathe, this was the next best thing. Kyle wrote quickly and thoughfully.
Kyle: Chris…I thought you might want to know about a conversation I had with Ryan. I had heard he was working with Jenne and was targeting season one folks who I didn’t want to be targeted. This is how I got myself smeared, trying to sniff out information and to defend allies—you and Taylor. Everything said in this chat was my attempt to keep Ryan’s trust so he wouldn’t target me and defend you and Taylor without revealing too much. I hate that Lis got targeted in this, but she is not playing the game. And they weren’t going to vote anyone outside of the 90210 alliance.
He paused and put the pen to his lip as he thought. Then he proceeded to paraphrase the conversation with Ryan exactly as he remembered it. Hopefully this would work. It was dangerous and risky, but there were no other options. Kyle was shortly out of his hut and slipping the folded slip of paper under Christopher’s door.
He whirled around quickly when he heard a noise and saw Ryan coming out of his hut for the first time that morning. Presently Kyle leapt from Christopher’s porch and headed toward him.
Kyle: Hey, Ryan, what’s up? Ryan shook his head solemnly.
Ryan: Not much. Yourself?
Kyle: Good. I’m good. How’d you do on the challenge last night?
Ryan: Ok hopefully. My fingers are crossed that it’s mulitiple immunity.
Kyle: I’m sure that it is, but I don’t know.
Ryan: I’m pretty sure that a fair majority beat me, so I’m hoping for the best. How did you do?
Kyle shrugged.
Kyle: Missie turned hers in before me; Isaac was about ten minutes after.
Ryan: Isaac? What a liar. He told me he found that some were impossible.
Kyle: Well, maybe he didn’t finish it all. I don’t think Isaac’s into that type of play.
Ryan: I’m not going to worry about it. It’s not like it affected how I did.
Kyle nodded. It was true that everyone was lashing out against everyone.
Kyle: I’m really tired of this game. I’m tired of people’s rules…connections. I can’t even talk about it without someone accusing me of playing the victim.
Ryan: That’s exactly how I felt the other day with all that crap going around, and then all of a sudden I had to try and help Rami out and totally screwed myself over. Now I can barely have a discussion with people…since I’m the plague around camp now. It’s a morally depressing game.
Kyle: Yeah, I don’t get it either.
Ryan: So excluding me…who would be the best person to take out, both with numbers and with strategy.
Kyle: Ashley or Lis.
Ryan sighed.
Ryan: If I were to go for Lis again, I’d piss off the same people.
Kyle: Well, you don’t have to go for her. I really hope that you win immunity. Beth told me that she helped you out. I like that.
Ryan: I do too, but she has me confused.
Kyle: Beth is torn.
Ryan: I could imagine. If nothing else she is at least playing her own game.
Kyle: She doesn’t want to be with “them” but she doesn’t want to vote them out because they are so blasted personal about it.
They grew silent. Kyle hated how dejected Ryan looked and hated even more how it seemed Ryan was ready to throw in the towel and watch his torch get snuffed. Kyle took a deep breath.
Kyle: Trust me on this, Ryan. I said I’d risk my game for you this time around, and I meant it.
Ryan glanced up at him hopefully.
Kyle: I’m going to try and spin a Lis vote again. We need seven people to pull a tie and she has past votes.
Kyle put both hands on Ryan’s shoulders and eyed him seriously.
Kyle: I need you to trust me and DO NOT say anything to anyone…at all…period…about anything. Just lay low. Do not talk to Drew because he’s not with you as you thought. He’s up Jenne’s butt like too many other people. Just lay low and I’ll work this for you…ok?
Ryan nodded slowly. It was a most difficult thing to lay low and let someone else have his fate. Kyle shook him gently.
Kyle: Please?
Ryan nodded more emphatically.
Kyle: Don’t do what Rami did and turn around and rat me out for trying to save you. Trust me, trust me, trust me!
He had no choice but to trust him. He had nothing to lose either. If what Kyle planned to do didn’t end up working he would be in no less of a predicament. Ryan shook Kyle’s hand and nodded. They had a silent agreement, and with that Ryan returned to his hut where he remained until later that evening when it was time to gather at the beach for the challenge results.
As usual Karen held a folded parchment in her hands and she greeted them all with a smile as they surrounded her.
Karen: You did an excellent job on this challenge. Here are the results out of sixty questions.
She unfolded the parchment and scanned it briefly.
Karen: Ashley got twenty-five answers correct, Elisabeth got fifty-eight answers correct, and Jon got fifty-nine.
She paused as others looked around one another and mumbled. Beth, in particular, frowned toward Ashley Miller.
Karen: Everyone else got sixty answers correct. However only the first seven who turned in their quizzes will be immune. Missie turned hers in at 7:38, followed by Kyle at 7:44. Christopher was next at 7:48, followed by Jake and Isaac at the same time—7:49. The last two to turn theirs in for an immunity was also a tie at 7:52, and they were Beth and Jenne.
Silent cheers went around as others groaned. Taylor looked at the ground sadly and shook his head. Kyle and Ryan immediately exchanged glances as the real work was about to begin. However, Ryan had a plan working in his own head at the moment. What would work better than a public speech? He cleared his throat and garnered everyone’s attention, even Karen’s.
Ryan: As most of you have already heard, I am on the chopping block. I’m not into the whole making things up behind people’s backs so I’ve decided on this. First off, for all of you who haven’t gotten the straight story…the reason why I am on the block this time is because I “considered” Chris’ name as a possibility at the last tribal council.
Kyle stepped forward with wide eyes. What was Ryan doing? Pulling a Rami in a public manner? Christopher crossed his arms and listened intently with a smug grin on his face.
Ryan: I explained the whole situation to him because I figured that he would rather hear it from my mouth. To set the record straight, I was actually told that Chris was the one spreading the rumors about me, and that’s why I considered his name. Furthermore, out of class I revealed no names in any conversation with Chris. So…if you’re the three people who have already confronted me about me blaming all this on you…not only are you not alone, but you have been lied to as a strategical tactic to get rid of me.
Ryan glanced over and locked eyes with a seething Chrsitopher. Kyle merely slapped his forehead. Others watched with interest, some amused, some taking it in. Jenne wanted to laugh out loud as she elbowed Beth, but Beth was listening.
Ryan: Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about strategy, and I commend Chris for having to work so hard on my behalf, but if someone has to lie to you to convince you to vote with them…how secure do you honestly believe your relationship is with them?
At that, eyes, particularly those of Missie and Beth, went straight to Christopher.
Ryan: If you haven’t already shaken on the big “A” word, but you are “working” together, it should be an indication of what your relationship is worth. Numbers are the key, and if you have a group that has been voting together since the first tribal council, you must see the problem. My hope is that you who are along for the ride so “they” can use you will gain a stronger majority.
That’s when Christopher took his moment to step in. There was no amusement in his eyes, only pure fury.
Christopher: You are an idiot, and I have no problem calling you out on that publicly. Your story has a huge gap. It goes from considering my name to saying that I am trying to get you out. What you aren’t recounting is the fact that you have set up numerous mini-alliances. I won’t sell anyone out either, but suffice it to say…if anyone wants to step up and talk about an alliance offered to them by Ryan…feel free.
He paused and swept those around them. No one moved or said a word. The scene before them was almost surreal. Karen had even lost her smile and crossed her arms as she watched the scene unfold. Christopher smiled.
Christopher: I have no problem telling everyone that early in the game, Ryan wanted a deal to vote with me, and yet he went around and tried to rally up votes to get me out. Now he keeps blaming this on mystery people. I’ve heard three names from him and don’t trust his word about any of them, and I won’t drag them through the mud in a public forum for his sake.
He looked around again to see the approval on faces.
Christopher: Bottom line, Ryan…I am voting for you because you are untrustworthy. You wanted to vote together, yet when you supposedly heard a rumor about me, and without checking with me, you tried to get me voted out. You have said yourself that you have since found out that I had nothing to do with whatever rumors/drama you are mentioning. Now you expect us to be all buddy-buddy? Why on earth would I trust you? Why should anyone? You try to vote your allies out without even talking to them. How is this my fault?
Ryan smiled and nodded.
Ryan: Well, it’s resorted to name-calling. Whatever gets you throught the day, Chris. As for the huge gap in my story…I said I went back to my only alliance and told them you weren’t the one behind the rumors. Made sure you weren’t getting any votes—and you didn’t. I have one alliance of three that I’ve actually shaken on. Sure I’ve spoken strategy with other people but planning to vote together is a completely different story than having, as you said, numerous mini-alliances. As for the deal about voting together…that was the first week, and hmmmm….if I do recall when your “group” decided to change their vote because Tenzil mentioned alliances at the first tribal council, I was notified as voting was taking place. So why would I work with people who didn’t plan to actually include me in their strategizing? Furthermore I have stuck with my story that it was one person who told me you were spreading the rumors. You are the one that created three names. I didn’t mention any names.
They stared off for a moment. One could have heard a pin drop on the beach that night. Even the crashing of the tide seemed silent. Missie watched the scene curiously.
Ryan: Bottom line, Chris…you are voting for me because I saw you as the threat you are. We voted together for one tribal council and you haven’t talked strategy with me since. In fact, you weren’t even the one that asked me to vote Tenzil the first time.
Ryan chuckled aloud.
Ryan: I know I must seem like a horrible person…I mean how much can you trust a guy who openly admits to thinking of voting for you. Where on earth do I get off? And for someone who clearly stated that he does not make nice with the “A” word because it makes for a cleaner game, this is just not adding up. You can’t think of me as trying to vote off my allies without talking to them…according to you, you don’t have allies—
Christopher: Stop playing the victim card! You played too hard too soon! Bottom line! Nobody was out to get Ryan. Ryan was out to get others, and it caught up with him!
Christopher looked around quickly to make sure everyone was hearing his point.
Christopher: It’s funny how you are blaming your exit on me. You are the one with multiple alliances. You are the one trying to get people out. So just be an adult already! I have a feeling that you’d be garnering a lot more respect if you would just be honest!
Missie and Kyle gaped at that. Even Beth narrowed her eyes.
Christopher: Your incessant whining is tiresome. Seriously…cut everyone a break and relax. You dug your own hole…go lie in it!
Ryan could only smile.
Ryan: I don’t want people to vote for me because they think I’m a victim. I am simply trying to show people how the game will play out if they continue voting with the majority. And let me clarify this…Ryan was out to get Chris...Chris! Not “people”. I take full responsibility for confronting you and am well aware that I am the reason that I am on the chopping block. And for the multiple alliances? Where are they? If I knew I had them I sure wouldn’t be worried about going home tonight. About me garnering respect by being more honest…
Ryan looked around quickly. All eyes were on him. People were hearing. People were listening.
Ryan: I’m not touching that one. And if all of this is incessant whining to you, why is it that you continue to respond? Are you worried that people will draw their own conclusions?
Christopher: I am merely trying to remind people to trust their noses. That smell is most certainly bullshit. ‘Cause you’re good. You “mistakenly” tried to get me out based on rumors…none of it was Chris’ fault and was a big, huge error on Ryan’s part. Yet Christopher is the head of some huge alliance and heads up a mysterious majority and needs to go. You’ve said both today, so…um…which is it? The inference about me being dishonest…I point to your own statements. I did nothing to you, yet you tried to get me voted out. How was I dishonest in that equation?
Everyone grew quiet. Nobody moved. Missie thought to herself about how Christopher had lied to her regarding Ryan, unless Kyle and Ryan were making everything up. But Christopher wouldn’t be so defensive now. Kyle knew exactly where Christopher had been dishonest, and that was saying that Ryan named Kyle. Kyle knew he hadn’t. Still Kyle locked eyes with Ryan and mouthed, “Enough!”
Shrugging, Ryan turned and walked away. Kyle turned to look at Christopher, but he was proudly watching Ryan go. He knew the beginning of his path to save Ryan would begin with Missie and together they would reach out to Isaac, Beth, and JoJo. It was going to work. It had to work.
Laughing, Jenne took Beth by the arm and scurried away. Others trickled away slowly. Even Karen had stayed to watch the scene. Even JoJo Treadwell could not believe what had just happened.
Elisabeth approached Christopher slowly and put on the brightest smile she could afford. She didn’t like seeing her number one ally upset, and she hated that Ryan had called him out publicly. She tried her best at changing the mood.
Elisabeth: Congratulations on immuni-tay, Chris-ay!
Christopher did manage a smile.
Christopher: Especially since that awful Ryan is after me now.
Elisabeth: The kid best be going soon, I be thinkin’.
Christopher: Um, yeah, I am voting him this time. I am worried you will pick up votes again, but we should be able to pull it off.
Elisabeth shrugged.
Elisabeth: I’m not worried. I’m pretty positive I will. They did it before, and I’m sure it will happen again. I just hope Ryan leaves. Any grand scheme to get Ryan out?
Christopher: It’s going to happen. Jenne, Beth, Drew, Jake are in. You and me makes six. JoJo will go for it, so we have seven out of fourteen. We grab Taylor and we got eight.
Elisabeth: Drew and Jake are in for sure?
Christopher: Drew is. Jake, I don’t know. But he doesn’t like Ryan.
Elisabeth nodded and looked around.
Elisabeth: Alright. I will work Taylor then.
But when Elisabeth headed away, she didn’t seek out Taylor. Instead, she went back to her own hut for the night.
Beth and Jenne separated from the group and headed back to Jenne’s hut quickly. Jenne was lighter than air.
Jenne: Ryan equals toast! We are immune!
Beth: We are!
Jenne: Ryan is so outta here!
Beth: I’m annoyed, though. Ashley didn’t even try at that challenge.
Jenne waved her off.
Jenne: She’s easy to get rid of when the time comes.
Beth: No she won’t be. She’s sneaking her way into things.
Jenne: Please! How?
Beth: She’s doing the same thing she did in her season. Sliding by, sneaking in. My concern is her sneaking by to the jury.
Jenne: Next boots: Ryan, Kyle, Isaac, Ashley, Jon. No way she makes jury. No way! Don’t worry.
Beth eyed Jenne for a moment.
Beth: Can I say something just to you?
Jenne: Always!
Beth: Lizzie doesn’t deserve jury either. She has no clue what is going on in this game.
Jenne: I know. No clue. Trust me, I know.
Beth: I just can’t vote her out, though.
Jenne: If for some reason our boot before jury gets immunity, she’s who I’d want gone. But for now, she’s coasting.
Beth sighed. She somehow didn’t agree.
Beth: Am I being awful?
Jenne: Not at all. I agree—of course we always do. She don’t deserve it. She isn’t playing, but I like this Lizzie more than cracked Lizzie. She’s with us at this point, and Jon, Kyle, Ashley, and Isaac should all go before her, right?
Beth paused again and studied Jenne before adding her opinion.
Beth: Honestly? I’d put Ashley next instead of Kyle.
Everything froze with that statement, and Jenne gaped.
Jenne: He’s getting to you?
Beth: No.
Jenne: Admit it.
Beth said nothing, but merely shook her head. Jenne pressed her lips together and placed her hands on her hips.
Jenne: Understand this…if Kyle was gunning for you like he was for me, I’d be after his ass so fast he’d have a rod coming out his tonsels.
Beth: You guys would protect me, I know. I’ll do the same for you.
Jenne: He was coming after me. He may blame others or deny, but he was! He’s called me all sorts of names. I want his ass outta here! Period!
Beth: I’m still annoyed at Ashley.
Jenne: Be annoyed at anyone you want, but I’d rather have someone around with their thumb up their butts than some asswipe pretending he’s my friend.
Beth looked at her, starting to become angry, but she held it in. She forced a smile.
Beth: You shall have your heart’s desire. And you are my highest priority…never doubt that.
At that, Jenne softened and returned the smile.
Jenne: My love! Kyle will work as hard as his charming ass can and will likely be immune next time anyways, but as soon as his ass ain’t immune…he’s finished!
Beth: He’s outta here. I know he has to go…no one points fingers at Jenne-girl.
Jenne nodded.
Jenne: he was my friend! And he did it! Now he’s scrambling, scratching, and clawing. He still has Missie, though.
Beth: I wouldn’t want him to just roll over and die though.
Jenne: I wonder if Kyle will try to tell everyone that there is a “friendship” thing to save himself.
Beth: I think he has already been trying that angle.
Jenne shrugged.
Jenne: Too late anyways.
Beth: He was whining to me about the fact that we are a clique.
Jenne rolled her eyes and paced away in disgust.
Jenne: Oh my gosh…get over it! He’s just sad he’s not a cool kid.
Beth nodded, but it was nothing she enjoyed hearing or taking part in. She was torn. She was eternally torn.
Kyle wasted no time in getting his plan off the ground. He waited a moment for the castaways to trickle away before he could manage some alone time with Missie. He looked around cautiously.
Kyle: Has Ryan jumped on you yet?
Missie: We’ve talked a bit, but I’m just playing along.
Kyle nodded. He knew what Missie believed about him. It was time to turn her around.
Kyle: I tread lightly when I come to you with this…you know I’m with you and not with Ryan. But do you see what’s happening here?
Missie cocked her head.
Missie: What do you mean?
Kyle took a breath and clasped his hands before him.
Kyle: Ok…at the risk of sounding “pushy” and “overscheming”, I’m looking out for Missie’s best interests here.
Missie: Tell me what you think. C’mon…let me have it.
Kyle looked around quickly.
Kyle: Ryan is being black-balled exactly like he was in Valentine’s Day—by the same people.

Missie nodded.
Missie: Funny you say that because today I kinda seen how this was going down and approached Chris about it.
Kyle: Funny as in you think I may have something or I am wrong?
She paused thoughtfully. Kyle thought his heart would pound out of his chest.
Missie: Funny as in you totally have something.
That’s what Kyle needed to here. He let out the breath he had taken in.
Kyle: Thank you, thank you!
Missie: I am being totally used till Chris, Jenne, Jake, Taylor do not need me.
Kyle: Abso-crap-tolutely! And I know Jake is against me. He told me he hadn’t heard anythinig about me being pushy, then almost in the same breath said people were mad at me about the Tenzil vote because I “did” push it hard.
Missie snickered.
Missie: Whatever.
Kyle: So…he is being fed lines. Jenne’s lines to be exact.
Missie: Well, I found out today he is not with Ryan, Jon, and Drew.
Kyle: No, no…Jenne was. Talk about your mini alliances.
This was something Missie hadn’t heard, and she wrinkled her forehead. So much information coming at her in full force. Where had she been the last few days?
Missie: Wow.
Kyle: Jenne told me at the beginning of the game, before Tenzil was booted that she was going to make an alliance with Ryan.
Missie: I know she’s tight with both Chris and Taylor—
Kyle: And will never vote for each other.
So much information. Missie didn’t even know how to process it all. She looked up and studied Kyle for a long moment, both of their wheels were turning rapidly.
Missie: Would you be willing to make a huge move tonight? I am.
Kyle: Oh my gosh yes.
Missie: Me, you, Ryan, Jon, Drew…find a few more and take out Taylor?
The smile that had slowly been approaching Kyle’s face immediately disappeared, seemingly with the sound of screeching breaks. That was not what he had in mind. Missie had been back and forth with Taylor all game.
Kyle: We need to cut them at their knees and that would be Elisabeth.
Missie nodded slowly, thoughtfully.
Missie: That’s fine. I worry about Taylor and Jenne, though.
Kyle: Lis because Taylor is not a challenge threat. I bet JoJo and Beth would be down if they knew there was a majority.
Missie: So you would be in for Lis?
Kyle: Oh my gosh yes. It sickens me that she could possibly make jury. Missie: If we pulled this off, it would seriously piss some people off.
Kyle: Yes, and I would love it! Chris thinks he’s so secure by his responses to Ryan tonight.
Missie nodded and laughed.
Missie: Oh, hell yes he thinks so. I fronted him about Jenne today and got what I wanted. There is no way I can finish above her. He said how much he likes her and would not want to vote her out, but if everyone did, he could not stop them.
Kyle: And Jenne wants you out ASAP.
Missie: I’m sure she does.
Kyle: She told me that herself before Tenzil was booted.
Missie: There cannot be another woman in the mix!
Kyle laughed out loud.
Kyle: Jealous women are great!
Missie: She was telling me how we girls need to stick together.
Kyle: Oh, Missie, you poor thing. She would’ve slit your throat.
Missie: I know. I’m not stupid, honey. Do you think voting Lis out would totally hurt them?
Kyle: Oh yes. Think about it. Me, you, Isaac, JoJo, Beth, Ryan, Jon…easy final eight after Elisabeth loses to a tie tomorrow. Me, you, Isaac, JoJo, Beth…easy final five.
Missie beamed and threw an arm over his shoulder.
Missie: Oh my gosh! I love you, Kyle!
Kyle: Me, you, Isaac…easy final three. Then we duke it out ‘cause I’m satisfied.
Missie: Today I’ve thought long and hard about Chris, and I love him, but he’s definitely not got my best interests at all in mind. So you tell Ryan you are in for a Lis vote. I’ll tell Beth and Isaac, ok?
Kyle: Yes! Oh, Missie this is so exciting! I have adrenaline running!
After the display they had just seen at the challenge results, Kyle would love nothing more than to turn tables. It just might happen.
Missie: Me, too. This is huge!
Kyle: Missie, I adore you!
Missie: Kyle I am so glad! Today I tried to get a bite somewhere and got a lot of crap back. Isaac kind of listened to me earlier when I mentioned that Jenne was a problem. And Ryan pretty much spelled out a lot of dark stuff for me.
Kyle nodded vigorously.
Kyle: Yes’m.
Missie: And Jake is definitely with Taylor and Jenne. If this works, we are heroes. If not then it was fun trying!
They hugged in the joyous occasion then saw each other off for the night. Bright and early the strategy would begin. Their premier targets were Beth, JoJo, and Isaac, and they would feel them all out, make them all see the light.
Missie lay in bed for a long time, too excited to fall asleep.
It took a long while, but she was finally able to drift off to sleep in good thoughts.
Taylor Napier, on the other hand, tossed and turned before he was able to sleep. Staring at his own ceiling he could think of nothing else but his successive immunity losses, in All-Stars and Valentine’s Day combined. It was maddening. He couldn’t understand why he couldn’t win anything!
He knew there was no sense in beating himself up. His day would come for a win. His thoughts shifted to some lighter subjects, such as Jenne. They had shared a rocky relationship, but Taylor was certain they were on the road to recovery. They had had a good conversation just that afternoon. Barring immunity, Taylor felt he was still in a good powerful position toward the end game.
Taylor finally managed sleep at some point. But nobody went to bed that night without replaying Christopher’s and Ryan’s fight over and over again in their heads.
Eyes had definitely been opened.
Day 15
The day began bright and early, and Kyle and Missie went straight to work.
Kyle was surprised that morning as a knock came at his door before he had even left his hut for the day. He was even more surprised to see Beth. He opened the door wide and let her in. He knew he was going to eventually plunge into his spiel to save Ryan and take his chances in asking Beth to vote Lis, but he stalled for the moment. Beth had sought him out for a reason. But they merely exchanged pleasantries. Still, Beth neither said nor asked anything. She only prodded with her eyes, so Kyle shrugged.
Kyle: Chris lied to me. He told me Ryan admitted to his face the other night that he and I specifically targeted Chris. I know Ryan said no such thing.
Beth sighed.
Kyle: All these people know what’s going on, yet no one will stand up because they won’t “betray” a friend. People like Ryan…there’s absolutely no reason they should become the camp plague just because the group doesn’t like him—twice in a row. But no one will stand up…just cater and cater and cater and cater to the brats.
Beth: Um…am I being a brat?
Kyle: No. The brats are Jenne, and now Chris.
Beth nodded, totally feeling Kyle’s frustration, but not liking the aggressive side she was seeing. Still, she knew something needed to be done.
Beth: Did Ryan say something to Chris that he just didn’t tell you about?
Kyle: He could have, but I just don’t think Ryan plays that way. He didn’t in Valentine’s Day.
Beth: So now what?
Kyle looked at her hopefully, but she offered nothing. She merely waited for his plan. Shrugging, Kyle raised his hands into the air.
Kyle: I throw my hands up?
Beth rolled her eyes and nodded slowly.
Beth: Cool. You do that, and I’ll start barfin’.
Kyle: Can’t you see my predicament here?
Beth: Of course.
Kyle: There are other worthy opponents around here that deserve to go far, but they can’t because they don’t have “friends”, and someone like Lis will make jury without even lifting a finger.
That struck a chord with Beth but she merely nodded.
Beth: I don’t know how to get around all this.
Kyle: It’s so frustrating. And Jenne is a spoiled brat who I am so disappointed in, and everyone is going to cater to her!
Beth: No one is catering to Jenne.
Kyle wrinkled his brow and looked at her.
Kyle: I think they are. Then why this whole mass hysteria over Kyle overscheming?
Beth: Where is the mass hysteria coming from?
Kyle: Taylor told me that JoJo herself told him that I was overplotting. JoJo lied to me about that.
Beth groaned and looked away.
Beth: Oh bah! I have not heard JoJo say anything of the sort about you.
Kyle: Chris thinks I’m overscheming now because he is saying that Ryan and I targeted him…where did that come from? Jenne has been dancing around Ryan all game, feeding him lines about me.
Kyle paused to take in Beth’s reaction, but her face was unchanged. She was simply watching, listening. He actually felt hopeless. He and Beth had been close since the beginning of the game—or so he thought—but she hadn’t budged for a single one of his plans or wishes for strategy. He was now beginning to wonder. Maybe he shouldn’t bring anything up to her at all. She had squashed everything else.
Still…what other options did he have?
Kyle: Beth, I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart…would you go with me on a power move? Just once?
She bit her lip thoughtfully and allowed the silence to hang heavily about them.
Beth: What did you have in mind. I’m not saying no…I just need to know what you want me to do.
Kyle: We need to get rid of a power player. I’m deadly serious that some of these underdogs need a chance. Even if it ruins my game.
Beth: Where do I fit in, though?
Kyle: You are with me! You are with me to the end! You don’t act like a brat and I know you have a heart for “outsiders”.
Beth nodded slowly.
Beth: I do. Which power player are you looking at? Two power players are already gone.
Kyle: Jenne…or if I’m already accused of it, Chris.
Beth: But they are immune…
Kyle: Then cut their power.
Beth knew that was the only option, but she also knew where Kyle was heading. The only other options for this would be Elisabeth or Taylor. Beth: I don’t want to vote out Ryan.
That was the shock of shocks, and Kyle brightened.
Beth: I want Ashley. She didn’t even try at the challenge. At least Lis tried. Don’t say anything to anyone yet…let’s talk this through. I would not say this to anyone but you, and if you repeat it…
She narrowed her eyes at Kyle, and he shook his head quickly.
Beth: Lis does not deserve jury. She has no clue what is going on in this game. Ashley didn’t even try and that annoyes me a great deal. Thoughts so far?
Kyle: I’m torn, but either is good.
Beth: Torn how?
Kyle: Ashley, I believe, is somewhat with Jenne, but Lis is just along for the ride.
Beth: I hate this game.
Kyle smiled and cackled.
Kyle: I don’t ‘cause it’s not real life. I’m just now getting comfy in my new evil label!
That garnered a laugh from Beth.
Kyle: So it looks like Ryan is toast?
Beth shrugged.
Beth: Doesn’t mean I have to go along with it…or like it…or agree with it.
Kyle: I’ll vote differently if you do.
Beth: I tried to give Ryan an idea without telling him how I would vote. Sort of pushed him to the person he would most likely be able to get out. I guess in my own way I’m fighting the clique. I’m just not being loud about it, ya know?
Kyle smile broadly.
Kyle: I love you, Beffy!
Beth: I love you, too, Kyle.
Kyle: I hope you haven’t seen me as a big baby or brat.
Beth shrugged.
Beth: Maybe a little whiney, but honestly, I totally understand. I really do.
Kyle: I’ll whine if it helps someone else and gets my partial way.
Beth: I’ve had my share of whiney moments.
Kyle: We all have.
Silence fell again.
Beth: I can’t lead a vote against Lizzie. I’d take the same position with her as I did with Mikey, ya know? I won’t fight for her.
Kyle: But you won’t vote her out…
Kyle had heard this story before. He could feel the frustration settling in again.
Beth: I would probably throw a vote elsewhere and not affect it.
He could’ve recited that line on his own.
Kyle: So how were you wanting the tides to change? Me?
Beth: Personally, I want Ashley out first.
Kyle pressed his lips together and nodded slowly. This wasn’t going to be easy, just when he had felt Beth was coming around.
Kyle: Ah.
He paced away for a moment, clapping his hands together.
Kyle: Here’s the thing…I see Ashley every day, and she talks to me. Doesn’t mean she has a clue, but Lizzie is relying on the “group”. Girl doesn’t even come out of her hut!
Beth: I know. But can’t you see where I’m coming from?
Kyle: Of course I can. You are in a pickle. But it’s your choice.
Beth: Remind me of why I’m playing again?
Kyle smiled at her.
Kyle: ‘Cause you wanted to hang out with me!
She smiled weakly in return and looked down, conflicted.
Beth: I just realized that we’ve voted different for every vote.
Kyle: I know.
Beth: It didn’t hit me until now.
Kyle: So let’s change that. Will you vote Lis?
Beth cringed as she looked up at him. Kyle’s heart was racing.
Kyle: Or at least make it to where she will leave?
She reached up and rubbed her face vigorously.
Kyle: Beth…please. If we have the numbers?
Dropping her hands quickly she sighed.
Beth: If you have the numbers…I will see what I can do. I will talk to Drew, but keep my name out of it!
And that was all Kyle needed to hear. It wasn’t a no, and as far as Kyle was concerned, it meant the plan would go into action. Missie would be working on JoJo as well. This was what they needed.
Beth was left alone in Kyle’s own hut. She made her way to the front door where she watched him hurry away, and she covered her mouth with her hand. What had she done? She was either going to have to follow through with the plan or put an end to it just as quickly as she had just set it in motion. Either way she felt she was going to lose trust from a lot of people. Still, she knew what she needed to do…it was just…doing it.
Jenne Lotz ventured out that morning all smiles as her nemesis was about to exit the game; now two times over she was able to defeat him. She would be even more ecstatic when she was able to beat Kyle—now two games over. It was getting to be quite fulfilling. JoJo Treadwell was the first person she saw as she left her hut that morning and she couldn’t have been any happier if she had chanced upon Chris or Beth at the first light of day. Jenne flounced over to JoJo, giving her a tight embrace.

JoJo: Mornin’, toots!
Jenne: What’s up with you, lady?
JoJo: Just trembling in the challenge results…but congrats to you!
Jenne punched her playfully on the arm.
Jenne: Like you need it! But thank you. I lucked out this time.
She paused and smiled impishly.
Jenne: Ryan is all dejected because Chris tore him a new one.
JoJo drew in a breath but couldn’t take part in the giddiness. Regardless of who her allies’ enemies were, JoJo could not take part in the torture and ridicule any longer.
JoJo: Ryan told me earlier that you hurt him. He said he trusted you and like in Valentine’s Day you hurt him again…or something along those lines.
Jenne gaped.
Jenne: Ryan told you he trusted me in Valentine’s Day? What a lying sack of shit! Ryan and I barely spoke in Valentine’s Day. I can’t believe he’d try to sell that…wow! He only talked to the guys.
JoJo considered her for a moment, all of her recent conversations with Beth ringing loudly.
JoJo: I was gathering that he was saying you set him up to Chris. I was having trouble following him when he was telling me about it, but he said he trusted you and you set him up…or some such thing.
Jenne: What a liar! What did he say I did?
JoJo: He didn’t. I believe I stopped talking to him at that point.
Jenne: Oh my gosh! Ryan and I have barely even talked about this game! That’s almost amusing that he’d say all that. But then again, Rylon are sorta in desparate mode.
JoJo squinted as she looked at Jenne.
Jenne: Ryan, Kyle, Jon—as I call them. I know Kyle has been scratching and clawing like mad. But whatever, I never spoke Chris’ name to Ryan once. In fact, in all of our conversations I leave Beth, Chris, and JoJo out. Why would he say that?
JoJo: Who knows? I figured it was desparation.
Jenne: He’s kissed my butt all game, then trashes me behind my back. I’m glad Chris went off on him last night. I want to but I am too nice.
JoJo: Chris is good at going off.
Jenne: He went off good. They must be trying to break Chris and I apart by saying that, I guess?
JoJo: I have no idea on any of that.
Jenne: Well, at this point, anything that comes out of their mouths is garbage. Kyle said I was a spoiled brat who threw a fit when I didn’t get my way. Then comes to me being sweet—I could puke with the two-faced crap in this game.
JoJo considered her for a moment. Something was not adding up. Jenne had too much power and was confident in that power. For once, JoJo realized she didn’t like it. This was the only thing negative she had yet to find regarding her new friend.
JoJo: People aren’t gonna change the vote twelve times before tomorrow are they?
Jenne smirked and waved her off.
Jenne: Ryan is toast. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s unanimous. ‘Cept his vote, of course.
JoJo: It would be nice to have another no-brainer tribal council.
Jenne shrugged. To her, it was a no-brainer. She said Ryan needed to go and that was that. Kyle would follow, then Ashley, then Isaac…just how she wanted it to play out.
JoJo, like Beth, was conflicted. There were things going on behind the scenes that she and Beth were not privy to, and it was disheartening. It felt a bit to her that she was in competition within her own alliance for Christopher’s loyalty and good-natured Mama JoJo was finding that she didn’t like that. She definitely would be asking around throughout the day and investigating the situation. For now, as she watched Jenne walk away, she knew Jenne was up to something shady.
Jenne marched away, chomping at the bits to sink her claws into Ryan Appel. If he was going to spread lies about her, he was as good as dead, but fronting Christopher in front of the entire cast was simply fatal. Venting with JoJo was simply not enough. She needed to vent more. She needed to lock in those votes for Ryan and cement the squelching of this pathetic rebellion, as she called it. Who did they think they were?
Drew was the next path she crossed and words just tumbled out of her mouth to him. He loved her. He backed her. He would listen.
Jenne: Hi, Drew!
Drew: How are you?
Jenne: Lovely!
Drew: What did you think about Chris and Ryan’s fight?
Jenne: Ryan is such an idiot. I’m one of the people he blamed, too, by the way. He told JoJo that I told him to target Chris, and that I hurt him—but he shoulda known ‘cause I’d hurt him before.
She spat in disgust.
Jenne: I was like, come on!
Drew: Seriously…he is so immature. I wanted to step in last night but thought it best not to.
Jenne: I want to go off on Ryan so bad! But I don’t ‘cause I want to be the bigger person. He targeted me! Lied about me! Defamed my character! It’s crap! All the while he’s been sugary sweet to my face.
Drew nodded sadly.
Drew: Kind of like Jamie, only she didn’t insult my character.
Jenne: Jamie is a good player, and she has class. Ryan is a pathetic excuse for a Survivor.
Drew: I definitely lost what little respect I had for him.
Jenne softened and smiled sweetly at Drew.
Jenne: Oh well, I don’t want to sit around Ryan-bashing all day. He’s getting what’s coming to him. No need for us to lower ourselves by dwelling on someone so unworthy of our time.
With that she gave Drew a squeeze and headed on her way to find Christopher.
Jenne: Drew and I were just bashing Ryan.
Christopher: Drew is being sweet. Drew knows Ryan had other alliances because he was one. I encouraged him to call Ryan out.
Jenne: I was in that alliance with them. It lasted all of a minute. Remind me of what Kyle told you about Ryan…
Christopher dug the note out of his pocket, unfolded it, and read over it briefly. It was the note that Kyle had slipped under his door the day before.
Christopher: Pretty much he’s selling Ryan out. Says that Ryan targeted me and that he’s clean. I never really realized what Kyle was saying about Taylor in the letter. Maybe after tribal council I will let some of this slip to Tay.
Jenne took it and scanned it quickly.
Jenne: Interesting. Can I take this?
Christopher shrugged.
Jenne: Beth tried to tell me that she didn’t want Kyle to go next today. I went off on her. I think he was getting to her.
Christopher: I know how it goes…she can’t vote for him. We can take care of it. We’d only need seven.
Jenne: No, she’ll vote for him.
Jenne was adamant but Christopher shrugged.
Christopher: Eh, I see no reason to force anyone.
Looking up from the note, Jenne threw daggers at him with her eyes.
Jenne: I do!
Christopher arched his eyebrows and challenged her with a direct gaze until she backed off.
Jenne: It was just…she was annoyed at Ashley for not trying on the challenge and wanted her to go before Kyle.
Christopher: No, that isn’t the reason why. She is pulling a Jenne on Tenzil. You and Beth have that tendency.
Jenne: Of course…but she’s mah girl, and she’s backing me.
Christopher: I’m not insulting her. Just calling it out.
Jenne: She don’t have to shove the rod up his ass like I will, but she will vote for him. And you are right. Her and I are a lot alike in these games. It’s why we teamed up in Valentine’s Day. She likes to please everyone. She likes to be liked, and I don’t blame her, but I will bitch slap her when necessary—
Christopher: And I wil bitch slap you.
Jenne paused and looked at him. But when Christopher smiled, they both laughed.
Christopher: And JoJo will bitch slap me. And Beth can bitch slap JoJo.
Jenne: Us bitches get off on that sick shit. That’s hot!
They laughed and chattered on a bit before Jenne finally hurried about on her way, all the while reading the note, and Christopher never questioned why she needed it. But reading the note, Jenne couldn’t help herself but want to face off with Ryan. His own allies had sold him out which meant he was guilty of everything as charged. Even Kyle had sold him out.
Ryan had kept to himself up to that point in the day. He had already said his piece in front of the whole camp, much to Kyle’s chagrin. But he had to get some word in before leaving. People had to know what kind of reigns Christopher Collins was holding over everyone else. Christopher was destined to final two. Ryan had submitted to letting Kyle take control of his game from here on out. He had nothing to lose, and he had no other options. Clearly his own words were digging him deeper and deeper.
Ryan was confident to rest in Kyle’s plans and had been content to wait and hope all day. Until Jenne approached.
Jenne: Goodbye, Ryan. It was a pleasure to play against you once again.
Ryan didn’t return her smile.
Ryan: Well, hi, Jenne. How are you?
Jenne: Just about my business. Was afraid I wouldn’t have a chance to say bye later.
Ryan: I see. Thanks.
She put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed it affectionately.
Jenne: I really have enjoyed our time together in this game…as fake as it really was. It was still fun.
Ryan: I wasn’t fake.
Jenne rolled her eyes and scoffed.
Jenne: Please, Ryan.
Ryan: If that’s what it seemed, that’s cool.
Jenne: Don’t blow smoke up my ass any longer. No point to it now.
Ryan: Do you think I would pretend, especially now? I’m just not as cold-hearted.
Jenne: I’ve heard about you plotting my exit and lying about me and making up stuff.
Ryan: Yep, that’s me.
Jenne: It is, Ryan. Deny and lie all you want, but you are a lying sack of shit.
At that Ryan bristled and took a step up to her.
Ryan: Oh really? So, let’s talk about all of those rumors circulating about me. Geez, I wonder who started them? As long as you realize you’re the lying sack of shit next to me.
Jenne: You brought all this on yourself. If anyone started them, it was your own allies. They sold you out.
Ryan shrugged.
Ryan: I’m sure they did.
Jenne: Only rumors I’d heard was alliances you were in, which wasn’t a big deal. Everything else was the truth. You admitted to plotting Chris’ exit, and that was the other rumor. Everything else was just a million alliances you were in. You self-destructed after that.
Ryan: I was in one alliance, and you were part of it!
Jenne: And Kyle did sell you out.
Ryan crossed his arms and stared at her as she smiled up at him.
Ryan: Prove it. You know Kyle and I just can’t get enough of talking about you.
Jenne’s smile was gone at once.
Jenne: Kyle called me a spoiled brat! What am I supposed to do with that? I don’t think you two give a rat’s ass about me, and yet both of you come to me acting sugary sweet.
She jabbed a finger in his chest.
Jenne: And you tell people that I told you it was Chris starting the rumors. What crap, Ryan! Honestly, the loads of crap you’ve been shoveling out is pathetic. And you are pathetic, and you are gone now!
Ryan: Show me the proof. Come on, where is it?
Jenne: You suck at this game, so later, dude!
She turned to go, but Ryan reached out and grabbed her by the arm, whirling her around forcefully.
Ryan: I’m still waiting for my proof!
Wrenching her hand free from Ryan’s grasp, she gave him a piercing slap on the arm.
Jenne: I have no reason to give you anything you want.
Ryan: Because you don’t have it. That’s fine. Just backs up my opinion of you.
Jenne: An opinion I don’t give a crap about.
Ryan: And you shouldn’t.
They both heaved at each other, faces burning, hearts pounding. Jenne hadn’t experienced such a confrontation in the game of Survivor since Taylor had unloaded on her in Valentine’s Day at the final four.
Jenne: Like I said, I did enjoy our time together. Very much.
Ryan smirked and mocked.
Ryan: Kisses and hugs.
Jenne gritted her teeth furiously before digging the note from her pocket. She then slapped it against his chest.
Jenne: And just for you!
Ryan reached up and took the note from her hand. Looking at her oddly he began to unfold it. There was Kyle’s handwriting, addressed to Christopher. He looked at Jenne once more before reading the letter. Jenne merely crossed her arms and watched as his expression changed.
There was Kyle’s handwriting, running down the conversation they had had days ago, when trying to figure out rumors, when trying to settle targets. Ryan wondered why Kyle would do such a thing. Still, the letter proved nothing but Ryan mentioning Christopher as a potential and both of them pinning the rumors on Jenne. It was nothing that wasn’t common knowledge by now, or that Ryan hadn’t admitted to himself. Besides, this conversation had had happened days ago, and Kyle was risking all to help him out at the present. He looked up from the note and mustered a smile.
Ryan: Good plan. You’ve gone back several days with this.
Jenne: Kyle did tell me he didn’t trust you. I wasn’t lying.
Ryan: Well, who would blame him with all the rumors flying around?
Jenne: All I’m saying is I never plotted against you until I felt pushed in a corner. Then it was game on, and you were sold out. I’m sorry for that because you were a good friend. You showed what kind of a friend you were with Rami, and I felt for you.
Ryan considered all that she was saying.
Ryan: Life goes on.
Jenne: It’s a shame it all went down like this. It’s messy and ugly and unfortunate…but you are a worthy nemesis indeed, Ryan. Playing this game is much more fun with you in it.
He couldn’t tell whether she was sincere or not. Both of their tones had come way down, and Ryan briefly looked over the letter once again. He then handed it back to her, having seen enough. Ryan: At least I’m giving the show some drama, I suppose.
Jenne: Always, dear, always.
She kissed her finger and touched his nose.
Jenne: Take care.
She turned and glided away happily, feeling so accomplished. Not only had she managed to disgruntle Ryan against his one and only ally, she had managed to make him feel worse than he already did. On top of that, she had had the last word. It was so ironic that she hadn’t even wanted to play this game in the beginning. Now she was having the time of her life.
Jenne: I just went off on Ryan.
Christopher turned and grinned, wanting to hear every juicy bit.
Jenne: Just for you!
Christopher: How’d it go? And was it fun??
Jenne: Bitching Ryan out was totally fun!
Christopher laughed, but when he saw the note in her hand, his smile faded.
Christopher: You didn’t show him anything he shouldn’t see did you? We need Kyle to not be angry until after Ryan is gone. That’s when he’ll be helpless.
Jenne stammered, guilty.
Jenne: I just told Ryan that his allies had sold him out. I was trying to really rub crap in his face.
Christopher: So you showed him the note?
Jenne: Just a bit. Not the whole thing.
Christopher slapped his hands at his sides and groaned.
Christopher: Oh, Jenne.
Jenne: I’m sorry!
He whirled around quickly and jabbed a finger at her.
Christopher: You have to check in before you go around telling people things that were said or given to me!
Jenne: You are right! I screwed up! I got carried away in my Ryan bashing! Won’t happen again!
He took a moment to calm, and took a deep breath.
Christopher: Ain’t mad. I just have Kyle to contend with now, which wasn’t a problem…yet.
Jenne: If Kyle gives you crap because of me I am so sorry!
Christopher: It’s fine. I can’t be mad at my friends. But that’s the last time I give you things!
He snatched the letter out of her hand.
Jenne: Sorry! Shoving crap in Ryan’s face made me lose control. Bad judgment call. He was just so d**n smug, I wanted to shove his face in it. Stupid piss-ant.
Christopher sighed and shook his head, jamming the note back into his pocket.
Jenne: I guess we are all entitled to at least one mistake per game, right?
Christopher said nothing. If others were going to work with him, then no they weren’t entitled to their mistakes—especially not when they affected him. Why couldn’t people play the game as smoothly as he?
He left Jenne that afternoon and took his grievance straight to JoJo.
Christopher: Mama!
JoJo was just about to let herself in her hut when she heard the familiar voice calling after her.
JoJo: Hey!
Christopher: Jenne just blew it.
JoJo: How?
Christopher: She showed a note Kyle had written me to Ryan—which is no good! Now Kyle will be upset I sold him out. Jenne and Beth need some instructions in Survivor. Thank goodness for Mama JoJo, who is the perfect player.
JoJo: Oh, I love you, and no, I’m not!
Christopher: You don’t make these kinds of mistakes, though. It makes working together very easy. You are like me…I never implicate my partners.
JoJo: Why did she show it to him?
Christopher: She was ranting at Ryan. I thought she was just trying to get well-read on what was going on. I didn’t think she would go and give Ryan the note!
This was very intriguing to JoJo, and she thought about it for a moment. It was more fuel to the fire burning inside her toward Jenne. Just what was the girl doing?
JoJo: You know, there were two odd rumors about me. One was that I was in an alliance with you, Jake, Taylor, and Lis.
Christopher: I think that Kyle and Ryan started it.
JoJo: Yeah, it pointed back at Ryan…
She looked at Christopher curiously.
JoJo: …who claims he got a lot from Jenne—who then sold him out.
Christopher nodded.
Christopher: Weird.
JoJo: I talked to her, and she denied it—which is fine. I believe her. But a few other things pointed at her.
Christopher waved it off quickly.
Christopher: Well, I am getting the feeling that she and Beth play a little messier than you and I do. It makes things somewhat difficult.
JoJo crossed her arms.
JoJo: Beth told me she sometimes does this…is loyal but will sometimes stir the pot even with the people she is working with.
Christopher nodded then. He could tell by the look on JoJo’s face that she meant business.
Christopher: Interesting. I did not know this. I have never been in a game with Jenne.
JoJo: Ryan sang the blues about her betraying his trust.
Christopher: Well, that may well be true. She did tell us she had an agreement with him and Drew at some point, so he probably feels betrayed.
JoJo: The only only only reason I wanted to come to you with this, and please know I would not go against Jenne…
Christopher paused with wide eyes. Where was she going with this?
JoJo: I would not put you and her in a bad position, but…
Christopher: No, no…you can speak your truth with me, Mama.
JoJo: I know I always can. You didn’t see season four, right?
Christopher shook his head.
JoJo: There was this guy Mitch, who did seem psycho, but Jenne wanted him gone from the game, and she told Tenzil that he was making her feel unsafe—literally.
Christopher: Ah, yes. I think that was exaggerated. I believe she told me as much at the time.
JoJo: Right, but Tenzil protected her and literally got everyone to vote this guy off. Later I asked Karen and Rob about it, just like as a viewer, and they both sait it was pretty much made up. Although the kid was weird as hell.
Christopher: Poor weirdo kid.
JoJo: Now Tenzil is gone, but I know that you love Jenne enough that if she says Ryan said this or Kyle said that…you’d take care of some business. Anyway, in my more suspicious moment, I wanted to lay that out there.
Christopher: No, it’s cool. It’s one of the reasons I voted Tenzil out.
JoJo: Of course I’ll vote Ryan, and of course I’m behind you and Jenne and Beth.
Christopher reached out and put his hands on her shoulders.
Christopher: Jo, if you ever feel like you need to vote different, you do that! I’m certainly going to do it again as I already have.
JoJo: Of course, hun, you know I will. I just wanted you to know these nutsy thoughts that came into my head.
Christopher: But Ryan is a problem—for me personally.
JoJo: He is, and I know that he had many alliances. And with your confrontation last night, you rock my socks off.
Christopher: I just play direct. Told him what was up. I don’t want to play word games with him. It is a waste of my time. So, I laid it out for him. Nice guy, but he blew it with me, so he needs to go bother someone else.
JoJo nodded. Christopher always made her feel better, but even after talking it out with him, there was a nagging in the back of her mind. Jenne was up to something, and somewhere down the line it was going to weaken her relationship with Christopher, and JoJo just knew it.
Meanwhile, mid day was quickly approaching and Kyle and Missie were hard at work with a mission. They had many stops to make before the tribal council would begin. Ryan had nothing to do that day but sit back and wait. Hope and wait, and brush off the confrontation Jenne had just forced upon him.

Isaac Miller had orginially been Missie’s project, but when Kyle saw him out and about on the beach, he couldn’t help but chirp in his ear.
Kyle: Congrats on immunity, man!
He clapped him on the shoulder proudly and Isaac beamed up at him.
Isaac: Hey, you too! Even though Missie really deserves the congrats. And Ryan didn’t win, thank goodness!
Kyle bit his lip thoughtfully as Isaac was genuinely excited for Ryan’s vulnerability.
Isaac: I’m guessing Ryan is the vote?
Kyle looked around quickly, took Isaac by the shoulder, and led him nearer to the pier. He followed willingly but with a curious look. Kyle took him far enough to where all they heard was the crash of the waves and the calls of flighty seagulls.
Kyle: Isaac, do you trust me?
Isaac cocked his brow.
Isaac: Yeah.
Kyle: Ryan’s not the enemy here, and if you and Missie believe certain people you will not end up far…follow me?
Isaac: What do you mean? I mean I follow you, but I disagree with you.
Kyle sighed and turned to face him.
Kyle: Ok, why do you think Ryan is the enemy?
Isaac: Ryan isn’t an enemy. He is a nuisance. He goes around and spreads rumors and tries to pit people against each other.
Kyle: He’s not the one doing it, I promise you that.
Isaac: Yes, he is.
Kyle stood firmly shaking his head.
Isaac: Then who is doing it? I know that he is. Several personal accounts from people verify that. Besides, who else could you vote for in the group that is vulnerable?
Kyle: I would vote for ones that aren’t trying. But tell me what personal accounts have pitted Ryan against you.
Isaac: He has tried to get me in an alliance with him, and then after I say no, things float around that I am in an alliance with him.
Kyle cocked his head and crossed his arms over his chest. He wasn’t buying and he was sure Isaac had never bought it himself.
Isaac: Ok…so it was Drew that tried to get me in an alliance with him and Ryan. But I take it the same. Drew was just acting as mediator, third party. There is no better person to vote for at this time. But it’s not a problem to vote for him. I mean, if you don’t want to vote for Ryan then who else do you suggest? My ears are open but it’s going to be very hard to pull when everyone is fed up with him and are leaning towards him.
Kyle nodded quietly before he spoke up.
Kyle: Have you talked to “everyone” to know that “everyone” is fed up with him? Or are you listening to rumors?
Isaac: I have talked to Jenne, Chris, Jake…Ashley, too, actually.
Kyle continued to nod. That was all he needed to hear. Isaac’s sources said it all.
Kyle: I would go for Lis or Ashley.
Isaac: But why? They can be much easier votes after Ryan. Ryan is not safe to keep in here. I think you’re falling for exactly what he wants you to fall for.
Kyle: I’m trying to protect you from big dogs who will run this game if you let them.
Isaac: Who?
Kyle sighed. This was much harder than he thought it would be.
Kyle: Did you see Valentine’s Day? Isaac: No.
Kyle: You should probably study up. Ryan found himself in the same situation in that game for merely sniffing out the huge threats and got smeared in the process.
Isaac: I am not seeing these “big dogs”. The only people who are pulling the votes are us three.
Kyle gaped incredulously.
Kyle: Us three? As in…?
Isaac: Missie, you, and me.
It was almost laughable. Kyle would be the first to admit that he had had virtually no control over anything and the only reason Tenzil’s boot had been possible was because Christopher and JoJo had more or less allowed it. Kyle merely smiled and shook his head. Where Isaac had come up with that notion was beyond him. And as Isaac’s expression changed, it was apparent that he didn’t really believe it either.
Isaac: Ok, you may be right.
Kyle: We three are not the ones pulling the votes.
Isaac: We do not have absolute control but a heavy influence without people realizing it. Between the three of us, we cover the whole cast pretty much with the relationships we have. I mean, I’m not saying we are invincible.
Still Kyle was shaking his head.
Kyle: My relationships with Valentine’s Day have pretty much been depleted with the Tenzil vote.
Isaac: I still think people will follow you in the game.
Kyle: I would hope, but I’ve got some pretty pissed off people.
Isaac: Like who?
Kyle: Jenne, Lis, Taylor, Chris…
Isaac: Taylor and Chris? They both voted for Tenzil from what I know. Jenne I can see, however.
Kyle: Chris is mad because someone told him I was targeting him on my “target rampage.”
Isaac: And I betcha that was Ryan.
Kyle: Ryan told me all about his conversation with Chris. My name was not mentioned. Ryan took all the blame for targeting Chris.
Isaac: Ryan could have easily omitted that part when telling you about it.
Kyle: I know, but I’m just remembering him from Valentine’s Day, and he didn’t play that way.
Isaac: Well, I don’t know.
He looked down thoughtfully. He really didn’t have concrete proof of the things he had been holding over Ryan’s head the past few days.
Isaac: You may be right. I am seeing this in a different light now. But here is my thinking on this: if you want to vote for someone else now, then it is going to be worse than not voting Ryan off now. Despite the fact that Ryan may not be the problem, at fourteen it is not the time to be pulling a move. The numbers need to get smaller, because as far as I seet it, people are going to vote for Ryan.
Kyle: I agree, and I won’t try to push you—as “pushy” as I am.
Isaac: You aren’t pushy. You just have opinions, and since we are working together you have every right to voice them to me.
Kyle: I’m glad I can.
Isaac: I hope you don’t feel like I am blowing you off, and Ashley would be a huge mistake to vote off. She is an easy one to influence, especially for me.
Kyle: You think so?
Isaac nodded vigorously. He and Ashley had shared a special bond since their time together in Halloween. That had never changed.
Isaac: Yes, positive.
Kyle: Well, you should sniff around subtly and see how close she is with Jenne. I have a feeling there’s pull there.
Isaac: They don’t seem close at all to me, but maybe. I will sniff around, but Ashley’s really not a threat as I see it, and I see her as an easy vote on our side. Plus, Jenne and I are pretty tight to be honest. We’re not necessarily tight but we have a good friendship. She tells me how she votes, so if you’re worried abou her—
Kyle put his hand up to stifle him. There was no reason for Isaac to go on with that subject. It was exactly the scenario Kyle had been in in Valentine’s Day.
Kyle: You should probably study up on Valentine’s Day.
Isaac: I will know when she is trying to pull something. Missie is talking about voting her out. I guess I am leaning that way, too, even though I like her.
Kyle: I know for a fact Jenne is targeting me.
Isaac: Well, she hasn’t mentioned you at all to me—
Kyle: Because she’s not stupid. And she has Taylor.
Isaac: That is the biggest threat right now, but I just don’t see her depth, though. I mean, I don’t see how Jenne has the votes to do anything. And if Chris tries to do anything, he will definitely go to Missie to try so we will know and can act.
Still Kyle cocked his head, staring at Isaac, prodding silently to see whether Isaac actually believed it himself.
Isaac: Hmmm, maybe not…I don’t know. I just hope there isn’t another alliance out there. Like Chris, Jenne, and Taylor. I guess I shouldn’t be so positive on my assumptions.
Kyle patted him on the shoulder.
Kyle: Just be sure and sniff every corner before you settle. I made that mistake in Valentine’s Day.
Isaac: So, Ryan for this vote?
Kyle sighed deeply.
Kyle: I’m definitely not going to make waves if the tide is against him.
Isaac: It seems to be, but the next few votes, I definitely think that Taylor, Jenne, and Jake need to go.
Kyle: I’m good with that if we can keep an edge over them.
Isaac nodded and looke out toward the aisle.
Isaac: I’m done talking about it now. That was a lot of strategy talk, but I’m glad we had it. It clears things up and makes me think a bit more.
Kyle: I hope it gets our trust level a little higher—not that it was low. I’m glad I can trust you and Missie. Such a huge relief.
Isaac: I’m glad that I can trust you, too. You are really helping me see the game in a different way. And I know that Missie isn’t going to turn on you.
Kyle: And I’m not going to turn on her.
So their strategy ended for the day. They walked away from each other with a much deeper trust, even though they didn’t see eye to eye on the current vote. Kyle knew that Isaac’s vote was absolutely necessary to save Ryan. But there was Missie still. Kyle had planted the seed; hopefully Missie would be able to water it before tribal council.
Missie’s first choice of discussion was with JoJo, and when she finally tracked her down, she wasted no time in getting straight down to business.
JoJo: I’m hearing Ryan is a slam dunk.
Missie: Not so much anymore from what has been going on, JoJo.
JoJo: I’m told it’s Lis now, and I want to make an informed decision.
JoJo looked around quickly before leaning in to Missie.
JoJo: Between you and me, I felt like Ryan got set up.
Missie’s eyes widened.
Missie: Me too! Big time! Look, last night I was told by Chris that Ryan tried to blame me for everything. Now I know I did not talk to Ryan much, so that was such a load. I went right to Ryan and he said, ‘Oh so you were told that too, eh?’ JoJo…I’ve thought you were with this “group” that was gonna eventually eat me up here, but now I think maybe you, me, and Beth are in the same boat. The old ladies’ boat.
JoJo: I’ve been looking for Beth and haven’t seen her today. Do you know she is with the old ladies?
Missie: I know that she and I are kinda working together by telling each oher stuff, and, well, frankly…if Jenne, Taylor, Chris, and Lis are not stopped, we are all toast. Toast, I say, JoJo! Toast!
JoJo: I don’t wanna be toast. Missie, I have to tell you something.
Missie looked up at her quickly.
Missie: Oh gosh. The last time I heard that, my ex hubby told me he was cheating on me.
JoJo flinched at first, not knowing how to take such. But when she saw Missie’s grin, she laughed awkwardly.
JoJo: I’m not cheating! But I need to come clean! When the game started I thought I wouldn’t get along with you, and I’m sorry. When I saw season two and even though I knew Amy had issues and was at fault most of the time, I felt like you were too hard. I had all these feelings about you that simply weren’t true once we talked.
Missie smirked.
Missie: Oh…Steveamy?
JoJo: Yeah, that one. I started this game not wanting you to stay.
Missie: Like Jenne did…and Chris.
JoJo: I feel like crap now.
Missie reached up to comfort her.
Missie: Don’t. You have gotten to know me. Let’s not let them run this game ok? I am not out to win all stars, but I want to prove I have some balls. They can’t just come into the game with alliances and run me out.
JoJo nodded.
JoJo: I want us to work together.
Missie: I would love that, JoJo. I would so love that. Up till now I’ve kinda just tried to get to know people, and I feel like the ones that I thought I would be able to work with are playing me hard. Hard!
JoJo: I apologize so much! If anyone was anti-Missie in the beginning it was probably me. I feel like a bitch.
Missie: Well, I’m still here, so it’s all good. Chris today told me how much of a big gun I was and how I ran season two.
JoJo: You always make me laugh, you kick ass in this game. Everyone respects you, and I do too.
Missie: That’s how I am. I can’t let it all get to me. Well, Jenne hates me ‘cause I called her and Taylor out on their bull.
JoJo: Well, Beth and I are both feeling suspicious of Jenne.
Missie: She wanted Jamie out so she could have control of Tenzil. She basically told me she wanted him to be able to play his own game, blah blah! But once he was the target, she was pissed!
JoJo: I have worked with Jenne up till now, but at tribal council the other night, it struck me that maybe she made stuff up about Ryan and Kyle to get Chris to protect her. I was feeling ill about Ryan going if it was bull.
Missie: The thing is, Kyle has been quite loyal to them until then…till she started that. She was so pissed that she thought Kyle pushed the Tenz vote that she wanted him punished.
JoJo frowned.
JoJo: I have a problem with her having that much control. Anyone for that matter. This early in the game there are a billion of us.
Missie: I don’t think she likes having any other women in that little circle. She flirts with Kyle. Can’t flirt with Chris, really, but hey!
JoJo: I got the feeling she wasn’t digging my female presence.
Missie: That’s how she is with me. I feel like she’s getting mad ‘cause I’m pissing on her tires.
JoJo paused before asking the big question. She had heard Elisabeth’s name making the rounds, and at that point she was not totally against it. Not if there were going to be enough votes to take her out.
JoJo: You are definitely voting Lis?
Missie: Already there.
JoJo: Then, I am too.
Missie: Thank God! This is a huge shift! I’m so nervous I look like Michael J. Fox!
JoJo: I’m sorta glad I can vote and hide. Can I ask a question? Is Chris targeted then?
Missie: I don’t know. I would like Jenne gone, then we rethink this. I love Chris so much, but I know he does not want me around much longer.
JoJo: Chris is the one who kept telling me you were the real deal. He digs you! I love Chris but he may have shot himself in the foot with his fight with Ryan.
Missie: I do think he’s lying his ass off about Ryan because Ryan went to him.
JoJo: I just wonder if Jenne got a ball rolling, knowing Chris would protect her.
Missie: Of course. Kyle told me tonight, and I do believe him because he could sit back and ride final six with them, but he told me that she said she wanted me gone sooner rather than later. I’m sure the Tenzil thing was a big reason.
JoJo nodded gratefully.
JoJo: Thank you so much for talking to me, and not hating me for being a total retard. I was wrong about you, and I’m really sorry.
Missie reached up and threw her arms around JoJo.
Missie: Dude, I love you to pieces! If we make it through this, we are gold.
JoJo’s wheels were turning. It all made so much sense that Jenne needed abasement and Elisabeth needed to be gone if she wasn’t going to play the game. But JoJo wasn’t about to make a move if she didn’t have the complete support to do so. Then there was the nagging in the back of her mind that voting Elisabeth would be, in essence, voting against Chris who loved the young girl. Still, Jenne needed to be neutralized in power and eventually taken out. JoJo needed more discussion. She needed more proof, more assurance from others—seven others, to be exact—that they were voting for Elisabeth Marie to leave the game.
Kyle came upon her quickly.
Kyle: Sorry to pounce on you, but are you up for a game shifting move?
She sighed.
JoJo: Oh my…do tell!
Kyle: Vote Lis, but shhhhhh. Chris pretty much destroyed himself with his fight with Ryan. He also told Missie she would not go farther than Jenne.
JoJo frowned. Christopher and Jenne had been making some less than humble statements as of late, according to those around.
JoJo: Very bold. I bet Missie loved that.
Kyle: Are you in?
JoJo: How many votes so far?
Kyle: Me, Beth, Ryan, Missie, Isaac…Jon probably will, and Beth will work on Drew. That’s eight not including you and we only need seven. Lis has votes and Ryan does not. It’s a move that needs to be made or we will get picked off by the clan. Besides, Chris is so darn sure of himself.
JoJo bit her lip thoughtfully.
JoJo: At this point I’m thinking I will vote with you. How sure are you about Beth?
Kyle: Positive.
JoJo: I’m taking your word on that one.
Kyle: I won’t do you wrong.
JoJo: I don’t worry about Kyle. It just seems weird for Beth to be voting differently from Jenne. Do you know why or how this all came about?
Kyle: This is for JoJo’s ears only…she is tired of Jenne’s game.
JoJo: I got a bit of that sense a few days ago from her.
And while Kyle and JoJo were still sorting things out, Missie snatched Isaac to futher tickle his ear about the current situation. She could tell that Kyle had not managed to sway him totally from voting Ryan, but she was confident he would want to vote with her anyhow, but explaining the situation was always the best route.
Missie: Dude, we are so screwed unless we can pull something off.
Isaac: Why?
Missie: Jenne, Taylor, Chris, and Jake…they are solid and want us out. Jenne is pissed about Tenz going, she wanted Jamie out to control him, then pretty much run the game like Valentine’s Day.
Isaac cocked his head.
Isaac: Are you sure?
Missie: Positive. When I asked Chris yesterday, he told me how close he is to Jenne. She has even told Kyle she wants me gone.
That was all Isaac needed to hear.
Isaac: Very well. Lis has to go.
Missie: Kyle and I wanted to ask if you would go final three with us.
Isaac smiled up at her. He would love nothing better with that group.
Isaac: Yes!
Missie: This is balls to the wall all out!
Isaac: Yeah, just don’t expose me. I mean, if they figure out that I am with you guys then we are in big trouble. I don’t think they know my gameplan, and I think I can crack in with Jenne.
Missie: Be careful with her. She really honestly has no plan with anyone but Chris and Taylor and Jake.
Isaac: I do not reveal any vital information to her.

Missie: Thank you, because I am totally in.
And the rest of the afternoon was spent stepping. Missie and Kyle graced the presences of everyone they thought were swayable to Elisabeth. Ryan Appel even put in his own effort and confronted Jon, but Jon agreed only if enough votes were in line. Yet in all of his rallying, Kyle could never find Jon and had even gone so far as to slip a note under his door. Beth Sowles had said she would work on Drew, but she declined to do so. Instead she stayed in her hut for the most part of the day, wanting to stear clear of the drama that would ensue for voting Elisabeth Marie once again. Isaac Miller, now seeing what needed to be done approached Ashley, not even having to ask for her vote. She agreed at once.
The kink in the plan came when Beth found out her name was making the rounds as part of this rebellion.
JoJo: From Missie and Kyle, are you voting Lis?
Beth gaped, finding herself short on words. If JoJo knew, then Beth was sure she was in trouble. JoJo noticed the hesitance.
JoJo: Or was that bull?
Beth stammered.
Beth: I was asked by Missie…
JoJo: Kyle said you were voting with him, but I had to check it out with you first.
Beth: I can’t vote against Chris and Jenne.
JoJo: I can’t vote against them either, but I think Ryan got set up. That doesn’t sit great with me.
Beth nodded.
Beth: By Jenne. I do want us to talk to Chris about Jenne soon.
JoJo: I started to, but I never told him what you said. I just told him it smelled like Valentine’s Day antics, weird rumors all pointing back to her. And he listened.
Beth: What’d he say?
JoJo: He like Jenne screwed up today. She showed something to Ryan she wasn’t supposed to. After this vote we can get our heads back on.
Beth: We need to have a serious chat.
JoJo: We do. My loyalty remains.
Beth left JoJo fairly upset. The one thing she had asked of Kyle was to keep her name out of it. Her main goal in this game was to keep everyone pleased and to keep her hands clean at all times! JoJo was just confused. She felt she needed something to change, but perhaps a talk would be better than a betrayal. However, she was sure Ryan had been set up.
Tribal Council 5
Karen stood as she watched the remaining Survivors file into the council area. The cast was now down by six. The second bench had now taken a hit and would soon be empty. Karen said nothing as they came in and sat at their benches. Jenne was smiling brightly, anxious to see her enemy go for the second time. Even more than that, she was excited that Kyle would be following shortly after. Christopher was as collected as ever and merely studied those around him. JoJo and Beth seemed more nervous than the rest, Beth still a bit irked that Kyle had spread her name with the new plan. Drew was content in his new alliance with the ladies. He would protect Jenne, his best friend in the game, from Ryan. Ryan would be receiving his vote that night. Others were quiet. Missie and Kyle were particularly antsy as they had pumped each other up throughout the day turning tables.
At last Karen opened her mouth.
Karen: It’s time to vote.
All of the remaining fourteen looked around at one another, fully expecting questions. It was already time to vote? Some of them looked up at Karen curiously, but she only stood there with her arms crossed. Without question they got up to vote one by one.
In no time, Karen had the urn of parchments in her hand.
Karen: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I’ll read the votes.
Jenne looked down at Ryan who sat quietly, holding his hands. He only looked at the ground.
Karen: First vote…Ryan.
Ryan nodded. It was expected.
Karen: Second vote…Elisabeth.
As expected as well. It was a part of the rebellion. Christopher squeezed Elisabeth’s leg. Two votes tops, he was sure.
Karen: Third vote…Ryan. Fourth vote…Elisabeth.
So far, nothing was out of the ordinary. But when Elisabeth and Ryan continually tied with five votes apiece, others knew something was up. Jenne was suddenly not as thrilled and even Christopher had begun to look around at his allies. But at last, the remaining votes were revealed for Ryan. Ryan arose immediately and turned to get his torch. He knew Kyle had worked on his behalf, but now he had to wonder just how much effort was put into it. He nodded to a shocked Kyle and headed to Karen.
Karen: Ryan, your tribe has spoken.
The snuffer came down on the flame and Ryan was finished. He left the council area that evening without a glance back. Just like Valentine’s Day, he was following Rami, never to return to a Holidays event again.
Kyle sighed deeply and looked over to Missie. She put her hands in the air and shrugged. Kyle knew exactly what happened. Beth and JoJo had both backed out, and he glanced back at both of them. Beth was frowning as she made eye contact with him.
Turning back around, Kyle reached down to pick up his things and arose to his feet. He knew what he had to do now. JoJo and Beth were no longer in his final plans. Whatever happened from that point, he’d have to do it without them.

Ryan's Final Words I had a lot of fun playing the game and its refreshing to know that there are still some decent people left in the game... All the best to them... it is almost fitting that for a second time I follow in suit after Rami... its too bad that the main alliance I had in the game (jon and drew) didn't pull through for me tonight. Again had lots of fun causing some havock around camp... Please don't let one of "them" win this game.
