I thought that was an amazing episode. I can't believe how on the edge of my seat I was reading it, and I was there! I guess we always learn things we didn't know when we read these episodes....I have missed the saga, frankly, so thanks for continuing to tell the story, Kyle. I have to say to anyone reading this stuff, that I'm mortified on Jake's behalf because of all the times someone said he would do whatever JoJo said, or that he was in JoJo's back pocket. C'mon you guys, you have seen Jake play in 3 games now and you must know that he is anything but a back pocket kind of guy. He has played sneaky and way above the radar in past games, and chose a different route this time. But he did play his own game, of that I am sure. In fact during the Ryan voting when I thought of voting with Kyle and Missie, it was Jake who talked me out of it. I don't believe that made the episode, so I just wanted to throw that out there. Taylor, I was surprised that at this stage in the game you felt I had turned on you or had betrayed our friendship. At this point in the game I really barely knew you. As we know, that will change soon. ;D And oh no, you didn't have just one RENT line in this episode, you had two, so I was digging that. Missie if ONLY!! If you only knew how conflicted Christopher and I were where you were concerned.....I was so worried during this TC that you would never speak to me again....we shall see next time I guess. Can I say that I had no idea that you felt the way you did about me until I read this? Jenne, our talk after Beth's vote was one of the more honest and rewarding convos I've had in any game I ever played. I loved laying it out there and still walking away feeling like we would be OK. Christopher....I'm pretty sure after you said I effed up and i responded with "great" that we laughed and you hugged me or said just kidding, but I have no journal access to check! All I can say to you is *chomp* It was nice to see Isaac's perspective this episode. I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of convos we see from Isaac, Ashley, Lis, Jake and Jon. Kyle, great game, really.

As was I during the entire game, some moreso than others. It's not that they were left out of the episodes but rather they just were hardly there at all convo-wise anyway...and again I say some moreso than others just to cover my butt for any of you listed above coming back and saying "I posted convos"...yes, I know you did...just not to the degree that everyone else in the game did.

Props to Jake...and all that jazz.
We're all very well aware of how Jake can play, but he did, in fact, choose a different route this game....which put him in JoJo and Chris' backpockets, with a few morsels of say here and there. I don't think that's anything to be mortified over. Maybe it will take him far...guess we'll have to see.
If that's all he was accused of in this game, then he should wear it like a badge.

Heh, I will say that yes, at this point in the game, I am probably talking to almost no one but Chris and Jojo, maybe occasionally Lizzie or Isaac (but not really strategy).
I don't think, from my perspective, that that's any different from how I played Halloween. I talked to Isaac and Ashley and Drew - and I guess occasionally Gary or Desiree to fight or play mindgames. So from my perspective, I felt like I was playing pretty much identically, only in a game where you've got people that are older, more experienced, not to mention there are more people, it's much much harder for a 15-year old to control the game - just from a social aspect. I mean if I walk up to Missie and Jenne and tell them that Kyle's going...like they're going to listen to me? I could do that in Halloween, but definitely not here.
Anyway, from my perspective, I felt I was playing the same as always, but obviously because of the caliber of the game, I wasn't doing as much as many other people were to stay in the game.
Is that a bad thing? *strokes chin thoughtfully*
P.S. Great episode anyway. :-P

Wish I'd thought of it, smarty pants!

Thank you, Dawn, and don't worry, I'm not stopping the episodes even if it takes me longer than I anticipated. I'm already half way through 9.

Recently finished the episode after back-to-back trips to Oregon and Los Angeles. Very exciting to read - I almost forgot who was leaving. Very nice work, Kyle. Jojo - you helped me maintain sanity in this game. Thank you for being there. And, um...great seeing you last weekend! Jenne - love you, as always. The conversation with Isaac was hysterical. Kyle - you almost got me, although it ended up going the other way. Game well played. Lizzie - winning the auction items was so much fun. One of my favorite memories from this game. Isaac - it was awesome to see you in full-tilt strategic mode. Missie - we saw a lot of you in this episode and I loved it. Although I remembered this: my thoughts are that noone, 17 or 23 should be called a retard. sorry. And then saw this: Christopher: Taylor is freaking out. He is tiresome. He was telling me how he is playing to win. Win what? The special Olympics survivor? Missie laughed out loud. Missie: Take the short bus to tribal council. Couldn't help but think...man - we all bag on each other for things that we likely did ourselves, eh? You know I love ya, girl! *smooch*

Christopher, I don't think two wrongs make a right anyway, not that it matters, we were all saying shit about everyone. Some of us were just better at hiding it than others. We all have our bad moments, some of us just have a whole lot more than others. Great episode Kyle, lots of drama!

Well yeah, but I do think that some of us talked a whole lot more shit than others, wouldn't you agree?

Well yeah, but I do think that some of us talked a whole lot more shit than others, wouldn't you agree? Some of us played better, some of us played worse. Some of us flirted more, some of us flirted less. Some of us gossiped more, some of us gossiped less. Some of us won Immunity more, some of us won Immunity less. Some of us flipped alliances more, some of us flipped alliances less. Some of us lied more (throughout the years, no less), some of us are who we say we are. The list goes on and on... There are really so many things that people did more/less of - so yes, Taylor, I would agree. That said, there will always be someone who did something more than somebody else. That said...if one did it, then one did it. No need to cast stones when most of us are living in glass houses. Blah, blah, blah. ;D Hope everyone is having a fantastic week, now that the sun is finally out (it's been record-breaking rain here for far too long)!
